This may have already been mentioned before, but I didn't know this. We just got back today from WDW. We ate at LeCelliar on Wednesday for lunch. I looked at the posted dinner menu and was shocked to see there is no fillet mignon listed for dinner, just lunch. I even had my DH to look also to make sure I didn't overlook it and he didn't see any either. Just thought I'd let everyone know. I hope I'm wrong and we both missed it. We had it for lunch and it was great as usual.

That sounds like a bummer to me. I have an ADR for Le Cellier in November, read your post above, and decided that I'll honor the reservation, but if there's no fillet mignon on the menu, I'll just order the cheese soup and a cold beer, enjoy that, pay the tab, and leave to find something to eat at a counter service spot.

I hope not! I have reservations there for an upcoming trip, and I'll definitely want to change restaurants if it's not offered.

Yes, that's the one. DH and I both had the mushroom filet at lunch. I was with the kids outside while he was paying the bill and started reading the menu posted outside. It had the lunch and dinner menu on the same board posted. I only saw the mushroom filet, or any filet for that matter, on the lunch menu. When DH came out I had him to look because I was so suprised and he didn't see it on the dinner menu either. I'm hoping we overlooked it, but we neither one saw it on the dinner section. I wish I had taken a picture to verify, but didn't. I hope someone posts later that I'm wrong!

Well, if this is true, then it very well may be the end of the Le Cellier over-hype era. Just makes me think: what now will become THE place to go to in Epcot? Personally, I am not surprised, with a new chef put in place.

Surely there's still some really good steak available at dinner though, right?

Well, I certainly don't want mediocre! So, what do you suggest I order instead?

Not a fan of Le Cellier...anymore. Used to be...but like so many Disney restaurants it has fallen into mediocrity some time ago. If you really want a good fillet I would suggest Shula's at Dolphin hotel.

the Inside menu that we received at dinner .....had the filet listed....We saw the outside menu and that also did not list salads ......so we were prepared not to have a salad with our meal......inside they gave us the menu and it had salads also as well as the filet ......we got back a week and a half ago.....we didnt order that ....had the prime rib, with cream cheese potatoes....instead of the yukon potatoes, and also had the soup as well as a salad......
I hope that the menu that we received for dinner still has the filet ....which was different that the one posted outside the restaurant...

Oh, prime rib sounds good! How was it?

can I say.......MELTED IN MY MOUTH......it was delicious....we were a group of 6...one was a child........four had the prime rib....one had the new chicken dish and he said it was outstanding and that melted in his mouth.....the child had a steak for kids and the mom tried it and she said the flavor was great......

almost forgot to say.......we had cheddar cheese soup and a large ceasar salad and those BREADSTICKS>.....should not had eaten so much bread......we all pigged out on the pretzel bread....our waitress came back with four more .....and we all shared those as well......

Tutto or Chefs will probably be the #1

Too bad. Le Cellier has long been our favorite place to eat at WDW. We've been there at least 8 times and the food is always great. The last time (June 2007), My DDs favorite dessert was off the menu - the "chocolate moose". The herb crusted prime rib however has always been a winner for me.

Please please do not condemn Le Cellier just yet. Not to berate the OP but I called Le Cellier direct, not 407 WDW DINE, but the restaurant itself and just flat out asked if the mushroom filet was removed from the dinner menu. The answer was absolutely not! The filet is their signature dish and what I told the girl who answered what I had heard, she seemed quite surprised. I didn't go into detail about what I heard since I was calling at a busy time but it seems that it was a false alarm. I didn't ask about the other items that were supposedly missing but it seems that the OP was just mistaken. It happens. No flaming here.

If there is anyone in WDW now that can get visual confirmation or at least verbal confirmation from the restaurant itself, please please do so we can put this to rest.
