Leaving valuables with Bell Stand or Front Desk on arrival day?

I will be using Magical Express on Sunday and checking in at the Poly. I have to bring my work laptop in my carry-on and will be going straight to the Magic Kingdom. Would it be possible to check my laptop with someone at the front desk or bell services (if they can keep it safe)? Or it best to not use the luggage delivery, claim my suitcase at MCO, pick my laptop in there prior to checking in at the resort with Bell Services? What does everyone else do if they are going straight to a park on their arrival day?

Bell Services will lock it up in their secured lock up area and give you a claim ticket. The front desk won't take it. I've done it many times without an issue.

We always leave our carry on items (including Ipads and other things) with Bell Services upon arrival. Also we store them the day we depart, if we're going away from the resort for a while. They are safe.

Bell services has a secure area for valuables that we've used many times without a problem. There are also safety deposit boxes similar to the ones at a bank behind the check in counter that you can use.

OH, I didn't know that! Do all the resorts have safety deposit boxes? I know Bell services has the secure lock up, but I'd feel much safer with some of my things being in a safety deposit and I have the key!

I think they are available at every resort. When we were at DW last month I recall seeing a CM come out of a room behind the check in desk and i could see safety deposit type boxes in the room.

I have left my bags with bell services may times with laptops, cameras, and IPads with no issues what so ever. I know they lock them up and you need a ticket to get the bags back so I don't think twice about my items once I give them to the people there.

The front desks have safe deposit boxes similar to a bank's. We have used the ones at Wilderness Lodge and at Beach club. They were in a secure room in the back and had varying sizes, including ones large enough for a laptop (which is what I needed to use). You ask at the front desk. There is some paperwork to fill out. We needed it on and off throughout our stay (laptop lived in the box while we were out and about during the day, then came up to the room for evenings/night) and were assigned a box for our entire stay, basically with in and out privileges. We just budgeted the extra time to leave/retreive it into our plans for the day.
