kids at school, DH at work and Im here just getting last minute things into the trailer....

the plan is dinner, get everyone settled, catch a few zzzzzzz,,,then waking everyone up around midnight to pull out. Know it sounds crazy, but trying like mad to miss Baltimore/DC/VA morning rush hour !

We hope to arrive at the Fort Friday around noon.

Keeping fingers/toes crossed for a safe trip. Will try to post along the way for anyone else traveling from the NJ/PA area for traffic notes, etc.

Looking forward to seeing some of the DISboarder names Ive seen here. Will stop to say " HI " to those at the GG.

Thanks for all the GREAT advice and suggestions these last few months while preparing. The house is BUZZING with excitement....and me and the pup are the only ones here !!!

You're probably all napping, but just wanted to say not crazy at all! We do this all the time coming from southern NH for the very same reason.

Of course if you're like us, you TRIED to take a nap, but after about 20 minutes looked at each other and said "I'm too excited to sleep!!" got in the car and took off.

pulling out now from Savannah, GA heading for thr fort! Good nights sleep. I95 was rough..construction, rain and some bad driving made the latter half of our trek nerve-wracking!!! Should pull into Fw right around the 1 o'clock checkin....WOW !!!

waitin to get our site # and info at outpost...lots of others waiting to checkin too....yikes! hope this isnt a sign of how the parks are going to be?? Doesnt really matter...the excitement and joy in the truck is worth it.
Now to get in, get settled and have a cold beverage!!
Will take lots of pix and try to post updates while here.
