Okay guys we are leaving tomorrow
I am getting the last minute things ready
I am on my way to the bank and want to now how much cash to take
$1 $5 .....
We will be in the world for 5 nights we are planning on putting as much on the cc and paying it off when we get back POINTS!!!!!
So how much should we carry with us its my DH, DD, DS and myself
for the little things that dont take cc

Get a bunch of ones for mousekeeping, bag porters, drivers etc... I would say like $60 in ones.
Then maybe another $100 in cash just-in-case but almost everything else can go on the card.
Other than tips, arcade games, and laundry machines- I can't think of any other reason for cash.

I agree. A couple hundred is plenty, and there are always ATM's around if needed. Almost everything takes CCs, even some of the food carts.

Should I get $5 too or should I just stick to $1

One more thing what do you find easier charge it to the room key or just pull out the cc

I got some $2 bills. I find that I tip in 2s a lot and that reduces the volume by half!

I would bring a few $5 and $10 bills for those trips to the arcades, food in the airport, small purchases that are under $10 (I hate to charge those).

I've found that charging to the room is convenient and you can check your bill before leaving WDW to make sure that there are no billing errors.

For tipping, I think they receivers would rather have the $5 bill than 5 $1's. But a mix of both will help. And it will be less bulk if you have 4 $5's than 20 $1's.

It will make your credit card bill less confusing if you just use your room key, you will have all the charges in one place. This might help you budget for your next trip if you can see that you spent x amount of dollars on the all of your trip, instead of $1 here, $3 here, $55 here....
If your dd and ds are going to be charging items to the rooms as well (snacks, souveniors) make sure their cards can charge. If not, ask that their cards not have charging priveleges. It made me relax just a bit more when they had their own cards for fastpasses and entering the parks.
