Leaving tomorrow

Well, it's finally arrived. We're off to LGW tomorrow for our flight on Thurs. Ridiculously excited :thewave: but also sad as we're having to leave our 18mth old Lab behind silly I know, but we've never left him before. How do you all cope when you leave your pets behind ?

Hope you have a fantastic time! We go in 16 days time and I am dreading leaving the dog behind. She is a rescue dog (so has been in kennels before) but I am still worried especially as she's not been well over the weekend. I think the kennel cough vaccine affected her but she has been fine today. ug:

We had to leave our dog in kennels but although we have put her in before she had been seriously ill earlier in the year and I was so upset I was cying on the way home from the kennels. Must admit though once we were away although when I phoned home I checked there hadn't been any calls from the kennels (I gave them my mom's phone no) I didn't worry too much as there was so much else to think about.

Have a fabulous time and try not to miss your baby too much, I'm always quite glad to see the back of my cat for a couple of weeks as she's very high maintainance!!

I always cry when I leave my Jack Russell in Kennels and Im dreading leaving him for so long this year. Hes very spoilt and he sleeps on the bed every night, I keep worrying that he will be cold sleeping in kennels in November!

Hi We have only left our dog (yellow Lab) "Hunny" in kennels once and i think i was more upset than she was! I suppose we'r lucky now as my sis in law looks after Hunny, Sooki (Ginger Tomcat) and the fish She has 2 dogs of her own and stays just 2 streets away so our pets can stay in their own home at night time and go down to hers during the day, i find this is best for our Hunny especialy coz she prefers staying at home rather than going to kennels aw: I think my sis in law deserves a medal! because now we can go away safe in the knowlege that our pets are in safe hands .

Hope you have a wonderful time! and don't worry, i'm sure your wee lab will be just fine and when you get sad just think of his wee face when you go to pick him up! He'l be sooooooo excited!
