Well, we are scheduled to head south to the Mouse House tomorrow, and I am nervous as can be. We've been trying to take this trip for a while now, and you would think that I would be so excited, but I'm nervous and scared. Never usually have trouble falling asleep, but was wide awake last night. Usually have my packing list made and already packing within a week before, and I haven't even got my suitcases out. I don't know if I'm too scared to be excited or if this is something normal. This isn't the first big vacation we've been on, we've cruised DCL twice and I didn't feel this way either time. Am I going to be okay????? Anyone else ever had this happen?? :confused3 :bitelip:

Felt like this about a month ago after the terror alert. I've gotten over it and I can't wait to go now(16 days left!) What helped me was more planning and I got tickets for MNSSHP. Have a great trip!!! :sunny:

Your vacation is going to turn out great and you're going to have a blast. Relax, take a deep breath and just enjoy all of it.

We leave on Thurs. and I'm feeling the same way - almost a mini panic attack, and we've been to WDW several times. I think its because I promised myself and my family not to overplan our days this year and I think it could happen again if I'm not careful. I've made a lot of ADRs but I am going to try REAL hard to let our days flow and not be afraid to miss a dinner or do something not recommended on these boards or TGM. The stress of not repeating last year's mistakes is getting to me! Personally, I feel better when I remind myself - ITS A VACATION! I think I've spent so much time on these boards that our trips start to seem too important - and like so much is riding on where we eat dinner each day. Or our entire vacation is ruined because I chose POR over CSR. Or we will all die if we go to Magic Kingdom on the wrong day, or ride the rides in the wrong order. Or something I really want is not one of our FREE snack credits! You will have a great time no matter what - take joy in the little things, sleep in if you need to, don't stress about each meal, RELAX! I think I'll print this out so I can follow my own advice.

Send those nerves on ahead of you. Think MOUSE, MOUSE, MOUSE.

Pack, set alarm (very important for scaling back on jitters), count to 10 (very good for preventing jitters) and full-speed-ahead.

Turn that frown upside down, you're not heading off to jail, you're going to see the Mickster. It will be wonderful!!!!!!

I was the same way before we went last October. Worried we would oversleep & miss our flight, etc. But we didn't! (We set every clock in the house :thumbsup2 )

Yes, you might miss something you really wanted to do. Or you might forget to buy something you meant to, but you know what? You will still have a blast! Mickey will still be there. And if you forget to do something, that just gives you an excuse to go back!

Have fun & eat a Mickey bar for me!

It sounds like you are feeling very anxious and it's okay. I had went through my anxiety state about a week ago. My trip isn't until the end of this month so if anything you are doing much better than me. ;) Think positive and know that you are going to have a mess of fun!!!! :cheer2: :cool1:
