I have read the orange county website and all that, but I have also read the letter from DFTW and I just want to clarify what we need to bring to get the marriage license. I have been previously married so I just need the date of my divorce-got that. I downloaded the form from the internet and already filled it out. we are going to bring our drivers licenses. Do we need a Social Security Card or do we just need to know our number?
And is there anything I am forgetting?

you're going to Orange County to get your license? i don't know how they do it but we went to Osceola County to get our license. i remember we filled out the form but i don't remember if they asked for ID; probably. i don't remember. i'd bring the SS card just in case. you never know.

Isn't orlando in Orange county? I did a mapquest and the courthouse looks pretty close to Disney. Is Osceola county closer?

Ok, here's what I have learned for anyone who needs to know.
Orange county appears to be in downtown orlando and you could run into some congestion issues-that is my assumption.
Orange county however, is cheaper at 93.50 and also opens earlier - 7:30 and you can pay with credit there as well.
Osceola county is 97.50, they don't open until 8:30 and you have to have cash, but they are a little bit closer and you MAY not have to deal with traffic as much. Both places have downloadable forms to help you if you need it. It was difficult for me to find osceola, so I will provide links.

We haven't decided where we are going yet, but we are leaning towards Orange county.

when we went to get our license all we needed was our drivers license and know our social security number. its a VERY quick and easy process. o..i suggest bringing EXACT change ($97.50) the lady that helped us was very happy we had exact change...i dont know why but she was!
