Please help. We leave this Saturday out of LA. I am freaking out. When packing tonight, I noticed that my 11 year old DS's State Issued Birth Certificate that the Dallas Dept of Vital Statistics sent us does not have a pressed raised seal. It is definitely the State issued document. The paper it is printed on does have raised seals in all four corners of the document. My other DS's document looks the same but does have the raised seal. My husband and I both have all proper documents. Should I be alarmed?
Thanks,
Jen

Are you sailing July 9th? We're sailing then too! There is a whole group of us over on the cruise meets board.

If the birth certificate is printed on the official state paper with the seals on it, it should be fine. That is how California is doing theirs now. It states on it that is an official copy. Does yours say that?

They briefly looked at ours when we left LA, but they were never glanced at again (nor was my passport even opened). The family we traveled with did get asked a few questions by customs when we arrived back into LA, but the only thing anyone asked us was our birthdates.
