Leaving MK for a two hour break

Staying near Disney Springs. Maybe back to hotel or eat at a restaurant near there. Three teenage daughters if that makes a difference. How long will it take us to get to our car?

I would allow about a half hour to get to car and again to get from car back to park. remember you can not walk from park to car you have to take either monorail or ferry boat to TTC and then either walk or tram to your car

Nope, not worth it. Plenty of places to eat in the park or nearby resorts. Take the monorail, eat, and return if you want a park break. Not worthwhile going to the TTC and to Disney Springs for that short a time.

And, since this is MK, it is VERY likely that you can move your second FP.

"Missed" FPs can be "moved" (for any available attraction) even after their original window has expired.

Really? I've never heard of that! So say, for example, I am unable to get an advance FP+ for 7DMT. If I book a 9:00AM FP+ for something like Magic Carpets and "miss it" (e.g. let it expire), could I then start searching for a same day 7DMT at 10:15AM, even if I have two other FP+ scheduled for later in the day? Not saying that would be my strategy of choice, but is it possible?

That would be OK. (I don't know if it would actually work to get 7DMT, of course.)
The other thing to consider is that you can continue to try to change any existing "still-waiting" FP for 7DMT

I vote for back-to-back rides on Carousel of Progress and a trip or two on the TTA!

That's what I'm talking about. Ride the TTA for a bit, grab a bite somewhere, mosey around the Emporium and stay nearby.
