We plan on viewing Wishes another evening of our stay...how will the crowds be exiting after Spectro, before Wishes? Do most stick around for the fireworks?

How much time is there between the end of Spectro and the start of Wishes?

TIA!!

Spectro starts on main Street so if you watch it from Main Street you should have no problem getting out of the park. Most people do stay to watch the fireworks so the exit after parade is usually fairly light. Also because it starts on main street if you watch it from there it still has to go through the rest of the park so there will still be A LOT of people waiting to see it while you are making your way out. As far as time goes it is about 25 minutes from start to finish from wherever you are standing. So say it starts at 8pm and fireworks are at 9pm if you watch from Main Street you should be out of the park and on your way by 8:30 the latest.

Probably about 30 minutes in between. I had time after Spectro last month to find another spot to view Wishes, go change the baby's diaper, and then had probably another 10 minutes after then to wait.

I would think most people would stay, but we're planning on doing the same as you on our trip in May. We'll be in MK on Monday and viewing Wishes then. The next day, we're going to AK for 1/2 day and then finishing up MK that afternoon. We'll stick around for Spectro, but as I'm sure the kids will be exhausted, we're not planning to stay again for Wishes. I'm going to try to find a spot for Spectro on the right side of the street just before the bridge going into Tomorrowland - you know Spectro runs backwards from the Share a Dream Come True parade, right? - then I can hopefully make an easy exit after it's over.

The two times I've done both I've thought it was the opposite-massive crowds leaving after spectro, then when I leave after wishes for the mono there are no crowds there compared to the times I've normally left! Maybe that's just my experience! HTH!

One thing we do if Main Street is very crowded is to cut through the stores. You can enter Caseys and go all the way up to Town Square through the stores without going outside.

DH won't let me do this - says it cost too much money!

Last week, Spectro was at 7pm, wishes at 8pm --- we stayed for both - but were nearly run over by people trying to leave after Spectro (before the fireworks). There was a Mass exodus after Spectro- which surprised me because Wishes is just SO spectacular (well worth seeing more than once!). If you have to be somewhere in a hurry - I would make sure you are bear the beginning of Main street so that you can get out before the crowd..Jill

nasmith, that's EXACTLY what I was talking about!! Were you there on 3-6? It was insane!!

If you plan to do this, you may want to get a seat for SpectroMagic which will fill up the fastest on the hub in back of the train station, where City Hall and the Photo Exposition is. This way when you go to leave afterwards, you will be conveniently located near the exit to just step out. It also give you the advantage of being the first ones to see the parade and the first ones to get out of the park when it's over. The parade starts to the right of City Hall, goes around the circle and then up Main Street. Any place right in back of the Train Station on the sidewalk is a very cool spot.

For a great view of the parade and easy exit out go up in the train station. We've gotten seats right by the rail. You see the parade for a different perspecitve (looking down instead of up) and it is very easy to go down the stairs and out after it is over!

We sat there! We've used that several times, you get to sit in a chair and it's reall nice...BUT you have to get there super early. All the seats were filled up there last week just under the 3 hour mark, which is how it's been the previous 4 times I've sat up there, and the curbside seats below didn't fill up for at least another hour.

:hyper:

WDWLVR and WDWAurora,

Up around the train station is my favorite spot for parades too! Even if you just snag a railing, at least you have something to lean on. And it's the best place to get great pics of the parade, especially if you got a zoom lens.............

:smooth:

I will admit that we have sat up there waiting for a while. Usually we do it for something like Main Street Electirical Parade that we really wanted to tape. At the end of a long day it isn't a bad feeling to just sit and people watch for a while. One of us would go and get something to eat (like hot dogs from Casey's and bring it back).
