I have a reservation for Chef Mickey's at 6:35, the night of MVMCP. We are not attending the party, but will be at Magic Kingdom during the day.

I'm assuming we would need to leave the park by 5:45 or so to be at Chef Mickey's on time? (We have three children, ages 9 mo, 2 yrs, and 4 yrs old to be carting around)

Should we cancel the reservation so we get more park time before the party starts?

Thanks!

It only takes 10-15 minute to walk to the CR so you would be fine to stay a bit later.

Agreed, this is one situation where you don't have to rely on any transportation whatsoever, as long as you're ok with walking to the CR.

6:15 is probably fine...if you are walking over. You have plenty of lee way on the reservation, like 15-30 min past time

Well, they do ask you to arrive 15 minutes early. If you're late it's then at the discretion of the CMs/management. I certainly wouldn't plan on being late.

I'd give yourselves 20 or so min to get over there with kids. You can walk. It's super easy.

Okay, thanks! That will make it easier! Where do I need to go to get on the walking path?

all the PP are right it is a short walk to the CR, however with kids that young I would head out at 6:00pm and head to the right and catch the Resort Monorail.

The CR is the first stop, Monorail wait time could be 15 minutes and the ride is nice. It would also be a good alternative if it is raining or cold on your MK day.

If walking the path is to the left as you exit. DO NOT go to the bus stops, that is too far. Just kind of follow the Monorail tracks.

Robo should be by with a map shortly.

Just turn left on the sidewalk when you exit the MK. If you point yourself in the direction of the Contemporary, you can't miss it.

Yep - stay to the left, so that you pass in between the hedge at the edge of the park on your left and the bus stop area on your right. You're pretty much walking along underneath the monorail track.

It's been getting pretty chilly in the evenings lately. With all those open spaces even more so if windy . I would jump on the resorts monorail.
