Glad you are feeling better and you enjoyed NYE. We have been there 5 times for it, wouldn't want to be anywhere else if I was in Orlando at that time of year.
I hope I am getting all my illness out of the way before our next trip. When we returned in Nov I started with a pain in my elbow, turned out to be Tennis elbow, had cortisone injection in it last week which seems to have worked (after the first 48hrs of worse pain) now have a cold I am trying to shift. Still 12 weeks to get fully fit.

We went to Universal IOA yesterday, we got there about 25 mins before opening but it was already VERY busy. We went straight to the display board on the left that shows the queue times, HP was already at 70 mins which is too long for us so we decided to go clockwise round the lands and accept the fact that we were not going to be able to ride it. Dh went staright onto Hulk and rode it twice as it only had a 10 min queue. We then went onto Spiderman and both rode this twice, first time was a walk on and 2nd time it had a 15 min queue. The weather was very misty and too cool to do the water rides so we walked past Jurassic Park etc and continued round. We figured that we would walk through the HP area and just take some pictures and have a look in the shops. When we got there though it turned out it was so busy they were not even letting people into the land, there was actually a standby queue of over an hour to just get into HP!! I have never seen it so busy before that you have to queue just to get into an area, let alone ride anything! Funnily enough we decided not to queue and so carried on round! We stopped in the Dr Zuess area and had a cake each from the sweet shop there, dh had a brownie and I had a piece of fudge that was covered in M&M's, it was divine but very sickly! We ended up back at Hulk and it was still only 11am! It seemed like a waste of money on parking to leave so dh went off to ride Hulk a few more times and then we had a look round the shops at the entrance. I had been craving a Cinnebon for ages but wasn't hungry so I bought one and lovingly carried it back to the hotel to eat later We left Universal about twelve thirty and went to TGI Fridays for lunch and then went back to the hotel. It wasn't warm enough to go to the pool so we just lazed around.
