I'm so excited my countdown has dropped below 2 weeks!! The freezing temps, and snow currently fallowing outside my office window sure makes WDW sound good right now!

I cant wait to walk into the BWV lobby and take a deep breathe and smell that familiar smell, or to hear that first "welcome home". I want to drop my bags off, change into capris, and hop on a bus to the MK. It's always our first park, even when we are staying so close to Epcot and HS. I want to walk down Main St and smell that popcorn and listen to screaming kids. I just can't wait!

What's your countdown? And what's the first thing you'll do when you get there?

3 weeks and counting for us!! First thing for us is to head over to Epcot UK pavillion for a beer, and some fish and chips!!

Have a great time!

We have a 1 night BWV stay in March before a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. It's too hard for me to be in Florida without at least visiting WDW. However, the first thing we will most likely do is go to Giordano's for one of their stuffed pizza. We'll have the car from MCO, and I don't want to waste the opportunity to enjoy one, and maybe even have leftovers for breakfast! Next we'll go to Epcot to admire the topiaries of F&G!

Bobbi:goodvibes

First thing we always do after my rush to checkin for the possibility of room ready.

I sit in the lobby and we just take it all in for about 15 minutes........Ahhhhhh ........

We usually plan a pool/resort day on arrival.

This year is the 1st time we are going to a park....
We arrive at MCO at 9am. Off to BCV:cool1:

So we should be all checkin including our 15 min Ahhhhhh moment;) by 10:30.
Now we will walk to Epcot( I LOVE that) and hit test track and hopefully Soaring before our 1:00 ADR at Biergarten(1st time)
By that time I'll be good and loaded :dance3:and go back for room checkin and not care what my view is:lmao:

Back up plan in case DD REALLY want to do a pool/resort day because it is soooo nice out and it has been sooo cold at home:rolleyes: Then we will lunch at Beaches and Cream and do Biergarten on our planned pool day:cool2:
Kerri.

ooooooooooh my trip seems so far away. almost 8 months. AHHHHHHH

We are new vacation club members so this will be our first trip with the DVC. We are staying at the Bay Lake Towers (also my first time staying there so any tips would be appreciated)

I'm like you Windi. if it were just up to me I would get there and drop my stuff off and then head straight to MK. but I know everyone else needs a chance to settle in and while they love Disney they aren't QUITE as excited as I am lol. We got the BLT Magic Kingdom view so maybe that will help me not pine away for MK that first day hahaha.

So we will probably get there and explore the room and take a walk around to see what all they have in there and then that night I think we will probably head up to the lounge on the roof for the fireworks :)

I'm sooooooooo excited. I wish time would pass faster lol

We check into Kidani for the first time Tuesday. But the first thing I'm going to do is go to Guest Services at DTD and renew my AP!

134 days until we head to VB before a split stay at AKL & BLT. I am going to dip my toes in the Atlantic Ocean, as we haven't been there for two years!

I'm a little envious too. Our vacation is almost 2 months out, March 24th and the snow and cold is just getting to me. Maybe I have the seasonal depression disorder?! Could a doctor prescribe FL trips as a medical necessity? Maybe some of these trips could be reimburseable!;) To help maintain some level of sanity in the meantime, we'll keep watching our Disney home movies and WDW documentaries to try and fill the void.

Anyway, my first clue that we're on vacation are the really early (like 2:00AM) wakeups. This time we're flying out of Chicago Midway on a 6:00AM flight - so with traffic and all, we're up mighty early. But that's ok if we're headed to WDW!!!

I start to get excited from that point forward, but I feel like we're on vacation once we board Magical Express. There's the familiar surroundings, the welcome video and then we drive through the WDW gates (and CHEER)! :cool1:

One of my favorite quotes from my (then) 4 yr old DD as we arrived at the resort (this was a March trip) "Ahhhh, It Smells Like Vacation!" :goodvibes

I usually take the red-eye from the west coast, checking into my resort between 8:30 - 10 am. After check in, I head to Saratoga Springs Spa for a shower, a sauna and a massage. Then I'm ready to start my day.

After we get out of the cab, we'll just take it all in. Look out at the fountains, across the street to the Paris, the going inside and instantly hearing the clinging of the slot machines, the glass blown flowers on the cieling... Hopefully check in, maybe gamble a little, and then go for a good dinner and hopefully a show afterwards, maybe something like Love over at the Mirage.

Oh wait, that's our stay at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in April. WDW isn't until November. That'll feel like FOREVER!! :confused3

Replace the above with good Disney stuff, hopefully at BLT if we can get it at 7 months! :)

In 42 days, it will be an early start to the day (4am). So after picking up car and checking in to our 2 bedroom BCV (or more realistically being told room isn't ready and wait for a text message) we'll get on our swimsuits, find an awesome spot around Stormalong Bay, find a cold beer and relish our family time at the Happiest Place On Earth!

21 days to a grand gathering at the BCV. We enjoy getting settled the first night and take a walk around the boardwalk. We will tend to always arrive evening time so we will try to get our daughters to get to sleep at a normal time to get up in the morning. We never get tired of walking around the BC & BCV taking in the sites & smells of disney.

I am looking forward to 10 days of just not having to shovel my kids into winter boots, hats, gloves, snow plants, etc. And then picking it all up everytime we come in.

Thanks:goodvibes

My boys just had me check our trip countdown this morning. We're at 58 days, 22 hours! Early flight, so we should be at the resort by noon. Plan on relaxing at the pool. It is our first trip home to SSR, so we are so excited. Have dinners reservations at Turf Club, then we plan a leisurely stroll over to DTD. Want it to be an early night, so we can hit the ground running the next day. Can't wait!:thumbsup2

Going in Mid May. It will have been over 8 years since I was last there. Can't wait. First park I am hitting is Epcot. Love that place.

In 7 days we have an adult only trip at BCV with another couple (well will have our 7 month daughter - long story) and after check in I try to hit EPCOT get our APs reprinted (why they make them on paper I don't get) and straight to the UK for a nice cold one!!! Then wander around EPCOT and take it all in....usually on the way to Germany for another beverage. BTW not happy they don't have Spatan anymore:snooty:

I have about a month... First thing if I were going to dh would be to crack open a beer and unpack. Since I'm going with Mom and Grandma I might reaaaally need to crack open a beer! :rotfl: Seriously- My grandma hasn't been in over 10 years and she and my grandpa used to go all the time (went the year they opened) so I am super excited to see her reaction.
She doesn't know she is going yet.:rolleyes1

We still have 80 long (and seemingly snow-filled) days until we arrive. The first thing DD wants to do is head to MK to ride SWSA. DS is going DHS to ride ToT.

My daughter and I will be there in 6 weeks - unfortunately we couldn't get an earlier flight than landing at 4:30 p.m., so we'll probably check in around 5:30 p.m. and see which park is open late. My guess is we'll try and see Wishes at MK, our favourite thing to do, and then grab a treat at the Main Street Bakery - perfect kick off to our trip!

We always go to MK. It just gets that magical feeling going when you stroll down Main Street and see the castle!!! It is just a wonderful feeling to start your vacation.
