Leaving in a week!

I am just getting all the last minute details finalized, copied, yada yada yada. We are leaving a week from today, spending the night at a hotel close to the airport and flying out at 7 am on Thursday.

We have the dogs boarding confirmed, Thanksgiving dinner ordered, airline confirmed, trans from airport confirmed, hotels and resorts confirmed, school issues taken care of, mail being held, on and on it goes. I find it funny that hubbie doesnt' seem to realize all that goes into getting ready, lol. This weekend we start packing.

Can you tell I am just a LITTLE exited!

We're leaving in about a week too, 8 am on Friday. I helped my husband pack his clothes about three days ago, then I packed about two days ago, then I packed my DD clothes a day ago, and last night I packed my DS clothes. We're all packed and ready. Can you tell that we are excited too!!

My dh is the same way. He has no idea of all that has to be done to get ready to go. We leave early am next Saturday. I have one question kel 3420. I tried to get one the delta website to confirm our flights and they will only take the info a day ahead. Did you just call the main number to confirm your flights? Thanks and have a great trip.

We are flying Spirit, so I just called them. I will check their website the day before we leave however, just to verify the times. What was nice, is that when I called, my mother's air fare went down, so she just received a $40 credit, which she is obviously happy about

We're driving down next Fri. 11/22. I'm jealous that you're already packed! Like usual, I'll be doing it on Thurs. night! Keep your fingers crossed for great weather!

I will be one of those Thursday night packers next week. I'm leaving work a couple of hours early on Friday so we can pick my younger brother up after school and then the packing marathon will begin. I am really excited about our first DVC trip. I can't wait to sit on our porch in a rocker at HH with a good book in my hand. I am a fast reader so I picked up several books to read. Of course once we hit Disney property, the books will be put away because it will be park time!

Hey I think we arrive soon too!! Tuesday later afternoon for us!! Here it is Friday, I haven't packed, I basically haven't done a THING.... I figure after parent/teacher conferences on Monday I'll pack our stuff LOL.... Actually, I'm so used to packing for our DVC trips, that I doubt it will take more than an hour!!! I think this is our fourth or fifth trip!!

Can I ask where you ordered your thanksgiving dinner from? I figure when we go to Publix, we can order it there the night we arrive!

We ordered our meal from Publix; ordered the standard package which includes the turkey, gravy, mash potatoes, stuffing and cranberry sauce. We added on several veggie casseroles and an apple pie. The people we are travelling with told me last week that he loves mincemeat pie, so I added this on as well. When I called to tell them everything was ordered, the wife started laughing and told me he was joking, they had never even seen mincemeat pie, so now I have to call and cancel that, lol.

I would think Tuesday would be fine to order the meal. When you call, just ask to be transferred to the deli.

Kel3420, which Publix are you ordering from? Do you have their phone number handy? We are also planning to order from them... I'm so glad we have a full kitchen, as the restaurant options for Thanksgiving are EXPENSIVE!!!

I am at Vero Beach for Thanksgiving, so I can't help you, but if you call your resort and ask for the closest Publix, they can help you, or maybe someone here has the number.
