I have been reading these boards for the last few months and have gained so much good information. My family and I are leaving on June 3 and will depart on June 8. There will be me, DH, DD (16), DD(11), and DS (4). This is our first ever trip to DW. I have been planning this trip since February. We have all worked hard to save for this trip and are very excited. Could you experts please take a look at my plan and tell me if you see anything I need to change based on you past experience?

June 3 - driving down, should arrive around 3pm, staying at HIFS (Kids Suite) and plan to have dinner at NASCAR Cafe (I am a big NASCAR fan) and hang out at the hotel and visit downtown disney if you have time. We plan to stop at the Outlet Mall on the way in to DW.

June 4 - MGM Studios - older DD's and DH will do thrill rides and DS and I will attend shows and then we will do all the rides together that we can. We will have two-way radios to stay in touch. We will take a mid-day break and go back to the park late afternoon. I do not have any priority seatings for this day but plan to book the Fantasmic Dinner package with Mama Melrosa (is this possible??).

June 5 - Magic Kingdom - plan to arrive at the park when it opens will take a mid-day and come back park late afternoon. We will not watch the parades or fireworks but ride during those times. We do not have any PS for this day but will do breakfast and lunch at the hotel and eat counter service in the park.

June 6 - Animal Kingdom - plan to arrive at the park when it opens and stay until early afternoon. We will then go the hotel for quick rest and I am going to attempt to make a PS for Crystal Palace for dinner when I arrive in Orlando. I have not been able to get it for that day but I am hoping that something will open up. We will then watch the fire works/parade.

June 7 - Epcot - plan to arrive early, we will not do the World Showcase but will attempt to do everything else. We will take a mid-day break at the hotel and return to Epcot for the parade. We have a early dinner/late lunch at the hotel.

June 8 - will depart to head home

I think I have everything on my packing list and feel comfortable with what we plan to take with us. We plan to purchase 4 day hooper passes and I think we will do that through DreamsUnlimited. Has anyone bought tickets through them? Did they arrive on time? Any problems? I booked HIFS through them and was please with the price.

As you can see I haven't made many PS because we are not big eaters and don't want to waste a lot of time with long sit-down meals. Do you think this is a mistake. I will be taking snacks and drinks for the room and and for the ride.

I want to thank all of you for sharing all of your wonderful tips, stories, and advise. I have really enjoyed reading the boards and it has got me really excited about my trip.

I plan to purchase DW t-shirts for the kids to get autographs and will make pillows out of them when we return. I have already purchased Sharpie Markers for the kids.

Can anyone tell me what you think of my plan and make any suggestions to make our trip one we will never forget?

Thanks!

Wow. You have really done your Disney Homework. I would suggest making priority seating arrangements for all the restaurants you can prior to leaving home and take the numbers with you. This way you know you won't forget.

For the day you are going to AK and then going MK for dinner, make sure you make the ps arrangement late enough that you give yourself plenty of relax time and time at the park.

Here is a site for PS:

Here is a site for the Fantasmic Dinner Package:

Hope this helps.

On our recent trip, our DD was so tired from walking and seeing, there was no way we could get her out of bed before 8:00 each morning.

Don't underestimate the amount of sleep the kids will need - they will be tired.

busymom,
Glad to see you're willing to take a daily rest/swim/nap/break. Whatever it turns out to be, it'll make your vacation more of a vacation!! It stinks to do the World commando style (sun up to park close) and then go home feeling like you could use a vacation!!

Have a GREAT time!
