Leaving in 2 days for first AKL stay.... help!?

What are the "must do's" and secrets of staying at the AKL... we are usually campers at FW so this is way out of our normal Disney stay... we are running in the Expedition Everest this Saturday and want to make the most of our stay... any suggestions?

Be sure to look at the Resort newsletter. it will list activities and times.
We really enjoyed:

Cultural Exchange evenings in the Living Room just past the concierge desk. A cultural rep. from an African country will give a talk about his/her country, with slide shows, etc. Very interesting, and fun.

AKL is our favorite resort! Just relaxing there is one of favs!

Sue M hit many of the highlights. Be sure to walk over to Kidani and check it out. Arusha Rock is wonderful early in the morning. We usually take our coffee down there around sunrise (if we don't have a savanna view room) and watch the savanna come to life. Be sure to just walk around and see all the nooks and crannies.

We have about 4 weeks until our first AKL stay too. Have you seen the list of activities the hotel puts out? Here is the April 2011 Activity List

I tell you, the one problem i am having is how to pick which of these activities to go to. Are your traveling with kids? Mine are 3 and 6 and I think they would enjoy most of these. I hope someone chimes in on their favorites.
