I had this August trip planned for two years. As soon as the 180 days window opened up, I made all of my ADRs. Yesterday, I called to see if I could change some of them and add two additional ones. I was shocked. I got the ADRs I wanted when I wanted them!

Maybe it won't be as crowded as I thought at the end of August.

Lucky you. You must not want the two most popular ones then Le Cellier and Coral Reef, Ive been trying to move my lunches to dinners for awhile now with no success, oh well I guess I will just be grateful I got ADRs to them at all..

I was worried that the free dining was going to push big crowds, but I was encouraged yesterday when I got an email from Disney telling me how to beat the summer heat while at the parks. I thought I was getting the email because we will be down there the last week of August, too, but at the end, it said "It's not too late to have a Disney Summer vacation!" Then it had the promotion for the $64.00 a night at a value, etc.

So it looks like they are still trying to drum up business. Could it be that the resorts are quite full? YIPEE!

We're here right now and had made ADRs from the UK around 6 weeks ago. We made them for early times not knowing how tired we'd be but now want to eat a bit later. We've managed to change Spoodles, Cape May and Prime Time Cafe all within a day of the reservation to later times eg 6.30-7.00 to around 7.30-8.00, although Cape May was very very busy last night with some very irate walk-ins having to wait over an hour :confused3

I experience the same thing! I changed some plans alittle and changed/added ADR's with out problems. I got the day/time I wanted! Sounds good to me!

I've had to change our ADRs several times over the last 1 1/2 month (added a person and then changed a few to different restaraunts). The only one I've not been able to modify is of all places Whispering Canyon. I need to change it from two people to three people and there are no openings. :confused3

I just changed a few of mine too, all with no problem. I know a few of the restaurants were hard to get (like Le Cellier - I made that 180 days out!), but I added and changed times for restaurants in the parks and got just what I wanted. Both reservations were for lunch - that's probably one reason.

I just called yesterday to change a ressie from 9/1 to 9/5 for Ohanas Breakfast and they told me to pick a time that they were completely open.

I don't know if breakfast isn't as busy as dinner, but I hope this is an indication that it's not as crowded as I thought it would be.

Well, I booked this trip just 26 days out and while I now have many of the ADR's that I wanted, I still don't have them all and most are not at times that I want. Like our latest is LTT at 8:50pm, that's extremely late for us especially with a 1 year old and the time change for us. I've called many, many times just to get what I have, so it hasn't been easy. Of course, I'll keep trying, even while I'm there to get better times and of course the ever elusive Le Cellier ADR!

I was just thinking (hoping!) the same thing, that it won't be crowded at the end of August. I made all my ADR's a while back, then decided today to add CP for breakfast on 8/29. I was hoping for an 8:00am ADR, but knowing that it probably wouldn't be available this close to the date. Well, when I called ten minutes ago and asked for the earliest ADR, the CM told me they had 8:05am available!!!!

Let's keep our fingers crossed that this means LOW CROWDS!!!!!!!!
(oops, I mean low crowds, don't want to say it too loud) !!!! :ssst:

I too have been trying for Le Cellier from 8/22 - 8/29 for months with a big no go. :sad2:
