We are going to DLR on July 12-17. We are 3 adults and kids 4,10, and 13. We will have some snacks with us and we will eat some breakfasts in the room. We would like suggestions on what time to make PS for lunch and maybe 2 dinners. We will also do lunch at Ariel's and Minnie and friends for breakfast once. I usually go with DD and DDF and we just grab snacks and eat on the fly but I figure with 6 of us and 5 days it would be nice to have some PS. We are interested in Carnation Cafe and also Celebration BBQ and maybe something in DCA.

Thanks,
Jean

Don't do the sit-down lunches on the same day you do the character breakfasts, unless the breakfasts are early, lunches are late, and your family can eat a lot of food. That's my advice. :)

In DCA I like Wine Country Trattoria for sitdown. (and other than Ariel's, isn't it the only sitdown there?)

We try to eat away from the traditional lunch, dinner times. It always seems that when noon hits everyone runs for the nearest food palace. We also try to make alot of PS's just in case. August is always busy(or has been) and I hate to wait.

Do you have a list of which PS you make each day? That would help a lot.
Thanks,
Jean

Wine Country Trattoria is slipping lately in service. We ate there with Cheryl a few weeks back and while the food quality was decent, it just wasn't up to snuff. They never once refilled waters, it took a long time for food and it just was "eh".

The Minnie breakfast I'm torn on. It has more "big name" characters, but the food selection doesn't quite do it for me. It's fabulous if you want solid basic breakfast dishes and to be in middle of the park. For better food, Goofy's, Lilo & Stitch, or Storytellers has them beat.

Minnie's is our favorite. :) Best overall experience from all the character meals we have done (all but Storytellers).

We try to go about 90 min after park opening. This way we can fit in a ride or two and get at least 2 FP before we sit down and enjoy our meal.

According to DH, its the only place that has biscuits and gravy too. He would know, his favorite breakfast.
