Leaving for WDW On Friday The 13th!

I've known this for a while (months after I booked the trip), but my DP's Mom just noticed it today, needless to say she's concerned. Personally, I don't associate Friday the 13th with anything bad or unlucky. The DP told me he "doesn't like it", but that wouldn't stop him from going. Anyway, I GOOGLED Friday the 13th for some insight into the whole superstition.

It was interesting reading and then I came across something that said if your full name contains 13 letters you will "have the devils luck". Then lists the names of several nice folks like, Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy. I counted the letters in my full name...Guess how many I have? Thirteen!

The only notable plane crash on the 13th was the one that inspired the movie "Alive", but they actually left on the 12th. Honestly I think we'll have good luck, and if the airport is less crowded because of the date thats better for us. Just wondering if any of you DISers have superstitions about Friday the 13th?

Second, you're going to waste valuable Disney time worrying about that dopey superstition .

I'm not worried. Actually, I was trying to think of way to get us seated in Row 13. That would totally freak him out. Isn't that terrible? Wow Cinnaminson, it's a small world afterall...

We are from outside Philly and leaving for Orlando on Friday October 13 out of Philly airport, wonder if we will be on the same flight? we are airtran at 7:15am. I have no superstition, I am happy to be going to disney, actually we are spending the first few days at US/IOA

I wish I was on your flight, I would saved money and got there earlier. When I booked our trip back in March, the USAir at 7:55am was the only flight available. AirTran doesn't schedule more than 6 months out I think. There's still a good chance I might run into you at the airport though, I'll have my LGMH on

We are flying out of Little Rock Friday the 13th. rkandmjsmommy I may see you at the BCV as we check-in the 15th. We will be POR 13th and 14th. Everyone have a great, safe trip!
