We've never been, it looks beautiful! I can't wait. I hope I don't have kids left at home Disney guilt! :earsgirl:
Any last minute tips for the 3 day jaunt? Looks like outlets or movies for us to check off. I hope it's warm enough for the beach!
We are renting a car so we hope to look around the area and "get lost."

Any eating tidbits would be helpful. I don't plan on any groceries this time.
:goodvibes

Yeah.. realx and have a frozen drink for me!

Enjoy.... you will love DVC best kept secret! :cool1:

FYI

They have a nice pool & Lighthouse w/spiral waterslide, a REALLY cool water play area for the real young kids, a hot Jacuzzi, miniature golf, exercise room, ping pong, bike rentals, The Green Cabin Room (bar/restaurant) has 2nd floor covered deck that has a fantastic view of the ocean and is a nice place to relax with your favorite beverage. It also has live entertainment in the evenings. At night they have a campfire / s’more roast (bring the Cutter Advanced to fend off the No-see-ums). You can rent a small catamaran or jet-ski for ocean fun. Across the street they have a lake, picnic tables, nature trail, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Disney built a private tunnel under the road to access this area. And of course they have the ocean and great waves for boogy boarding. Everything from the ocean to the pool to your room is no more than 2 minutes away walking. So it is real easy to break up your day

Five minutes away is Pelican Island and a wildlife education center. Also minutes away is Sebastian Inlet were the Indian River meets the ocean. There are many good fishing spots around the inlet, and there are river excursions where you can see dolphins, manatee, and tons of other types of wildlife. About an hour away is Cape Canaveral, (where the Magic and Wonder dock), the Kennedy Space Center (with museums, tours, and shows), and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge with walking and driving tours.

Have a great time. :thumbsup2

:cool1: I didn't think about the frozen drinkies!!! whoo hoo!

I thought about the jet skis but I didn't know if the ocean would be warm enough! (not like Disney could warm that)
As far as the kid stuff, they are not aloud to miss school! No slides for them!

We stayed @VB the 17th-19th of this past November. We really liked the food at Shutters & enjoyed the beverages & appetizers in the Green Cabin Room. There is a new chef, so there are some minor changes in the menu.
I have to say, we both thought the entire staff was very friendly, helpful & downright cheerful! Best service from everybody anywhere we've vacationed! :thumbsup2
Beach is stunning.
I did think our room--a studio in the main building--was looking a little worn, but it was immaculate & had a drop dead ocean view.
There is a campfire night & an activity schedule that you'll be given @ check in.
Hey, & they even put out the Mickey hand lotion!
