what kind of clothes should I bring? I guess I'll bring a variety. Hoping we'll be able to swim in the ocean, but is that wishful thinking or what?
Shorts during the day? I REALLY don't want to bring our winter coats.
This will be our first trip there--any other tips?

That said, according to channel 9 last night (ABC) they were saying high 70's to low 80's for the next 5 days and lows of in the 50's -- now that's out of Orlando but Vero is South of there so it should be that or slightly warmer. It's not usually shorts weather at night but you can probably be comfy in shorts during the day...just remember being right on the ocean may feel a bit colder with the wind. As for swimming in the ocean, way to chilly for me but I like it in the middle of summer when it's really warm. Northerners don't tend to think it feels quite as cold so you'll have to wait and see. The pool should be heated though and then there's always the hot tub! Enjoy! They're also saying it should be nice and sunny the rest of the week
DH was talking about the ocean temp and that it probably wouldn't be any colder than Maine is in the dead of summer. If I could sit out on the beach and swim in a heated pool, that's fine for me.

). We also rode the bicycles one day and went to Mel Fisher's Museum on another while we were there. The morning temps were in the 40's and I remember them telling me that the pool would be closed until it got above 50. Something about the pool being heated, but the air isn't that early in the morning ... You'd think that Disney could fix that, wouldn't you? The hot tub, sauna, and exercise room were all open in the early morning, so I really had no complaints! Pack for anything and I'm sure that you'll do just fine. I'm sure that you won't be leaving home for Vero dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, so your clothing that you left home in should be sufficient for cooler days.
