Leaving for the Fort!! (Kind of )

Leaving in a few minutes for just a quick trip we planned to Disney because it had been too long (ok, a couple months, but that's too long!). We're actually staying at the Riverside, but...............

since we have to go to the Fort as much as we can (twice is barely enough...lol), tomorrow we're going to park our F250 at the campground, take the buses to the docks, and then head over to the Magic Kingdom for the day. Then after the day is done (and after fireworks! ), we're taking the boat back to the Fort, and going to have a little party at Crocket's Tavern! This trip is us and our two mom's, and all the girls love the Mudslides at Crocket's, they are the best!

Of course, one of us will be the designated driver, but at least we get to spend some time in the Fort!

Plus, our dog had an "accident" on our last Ft. Wilderness door mat a few weeks ago, and we need to get a new one!!!

Have fun. I wish I lived close enough to visit that often !! I want a Disney doormat too. I think I am going to have WAY too much fun shopping there.

Well we just got back, the Fort was great as always (although it's really hard to be at the Fort and not be staying there!). Was really cool weather wise on Saturday, got down into the low 60's, high 50's on Saturday night.

Stopped at Crockett's Tavern around 9:30, our bartender was Michelle. She was great, remembered my mom from the last trip (my mom complimented her on how great her mudslides were), let's just say for some reason not all of the drinks we ordered showed up on our tab

Unfortunately, the Tavern closed at 10, so we weren't able to get any yummy appetizers, and only were able to stay till around 10:15 PM.

The Fort looked to be only about 3/4 full in most places, noticed quite a few empty campsites on Saturday.

Edit: Oh, and Shannone, you will love shopping there! We only picked up a couple things, but we made up for it on Sunday when we went to Downtown Disney. At one point I needed to take all of our bags back to the truck because we couldn't carry any more around, people were looking at me like I was some kind of Disney freak carrying all the bags. But that's what you get when you travel with 3 women...lol

Ohhh...mudslides are my favorite..especially the ice cream kind. Wonder if it's too late to leave the kids home ?? Just teasing, lol.
