leaving for disney today! daily posts to come

Isn't it great to take everything in and not feel rushed? I hope you and Ash's feet will heal soon so you can really enjoy your trip (but sounds like you are in spite of your foot injuries).

Thanks for sharing your trip with us - just love live reports :lovestruc

hello everyone again.

today ash n i woke up late and had an adr at the coral reef. we made it all the way to epcot and we were walking up to the line i noticed my wallet was gone... NOT GOOD! i thought i lost it on the bus so i was freaking out! we came back to the resort and after explaining that all my photo id and room keys were in my wallet they asked for my home address and wallah they printed new keys out and i came to my room and there was my wallet. not a good start. so we went to the contemporary and ate lunch at the wave which was ok. nothing special, from there we looked around at the gift shops and lollygagged around. from there we went to the grand floridian. what place is super swank. thats where ill be staying from now on. we goofed around there for a bit. headed over to the magic kingdom and when we walked in the new celebrate today parade was starting. that is an INCREDIBLE parade. i loved it. magic kingdom was killer packed today. it was kind of a mellow day for ash n i. were just taking it easy while her foot is healing. its 8:18 now and shes sleeping already.

id like to say this. we watched wishes last night and it was awesome. but when wishes was over we walked around mk for an hour and a half after it closed. has anyone ever done this? if you havent, try it. theres noone in there but workers wrapping stuff up. its like the whole place is yours. thats my fav time to walk around in the park. its like its all yours. so peaceful and quiet.

So MK was mega packed? I guess that's how saturdays are? How are the crowds otherwise? You said it was looking pretty un-crowded earlier, are the tides changing? Like I said, I'm going on 5/10-5/17, but we're only gonna be going to the parks from the 12th-15th, so since we won't be there during the weekend, you think we'll be okay?

P.S. I'm busting at the seams, CAN NOT WAIT TO GO!!

the crowds seemed to have died down from the weekend. today was nice. we did animal kingdom in the morning from 10 to 1:30. the longest we waited was 20 minutes for everest. i finally got to meet jiminey cricket!!!!!! i kissed him on the cheek and got great pics with him. went back to p.o.r. and was going to watched the nascar race, big wreck in the begining and my guy was taken out so we headed to hollywood studios. we walked in... well actually i walked and pushed ash in the wheel chair, got fast passes for t.o.t. went and took pics with buzz n woody. went and ate at sci fi. that place is so great i love the atmosphere. i got the beef and blue salad as always. it was YUMMY!. from there we rode t.o.t. the stand by line was only 10 minutes or so, at about 5 we took the boat to epcot. went to france and sipped coffee, and ate some pastries. went to mexico ash drank 6 margaritas we chilled in the lil cantina resturant and watched the sunset then watched illuminations. amazing seats for it. we sat on the fountian inside the lil cantina resturant. as soon as illuminations was over we hauled tail to m.k. and watched wishes. who ever says stay clear of extra magic hours is crazy. from a 1 to a 10 from 12 til 2 when we left it was a 1 at most. that is by far the most empty i have ever seen it and the weather was beautiful. we rode everything walk on, splash, thunder, haunted mansion, buzz light year, snow white, peter pan, its a small world all in about 45 minutes. i think tomorrow and tuesday will be nice.

btw. who ever plans things down to the second. i have done that and this trip we have just went with the flow. i think if u stay out the parks mid day and hit them in the morning and after 6 you will be fine. i think all the may people will enjoy themselves.

Good to hear :thumbsup2

I actually expected crowds to decrease quite a bit from the Easter craze, but with the recent crowd calendars predicting 7s, 8s, and 9s for the first 2 weeks of May, I was surprised. So I'm VERY happy to hear that it's going well over there.

What do you think of the Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort? I'm excited to see it up close and completed.:goodvibes

Awesome reports! It's great to hear that the crowds are manageable. I've just got to survive a few more days of work, and then we're heading down on Friday! Woo hoo!

Wohoo!! I'm so excited about the low crowds - or at least lower than expected. :cool1:

One question for you Skip, how is the weather? Are there any nights that require a light jacket? Just trying to think of everything (especially for the kids).

Thanks!!

the weather has been great. night time you may want to bring a light jacket.

sounds awesome. I can't wait to see pictures. Keep enjoying yourselves! We are all living vicariously thru you. LOL!

well as everyone knows when you leave WDW its hard to adjust to true reality again. i am so depressed lol.

so out from a 1 to a 10 i will give my over all 9 days at WDW an 8. everything was perfect but ash hurt her foot the strollers were out in full force and the people who drive them dont pay attention to anything around them and friday and saturday was a lil crowded. but not bad crowded at all. disney was everything it needed to be and more for me as always. i dont care if its just sitting and sipping coffee and people watching or hitting every park and riding every ride one last time like we did on tuesday its just a magical experience! i have no idea how they do it. ive been going since the 70s and it only gets better! if i ever win the lottery i will live in the new bay side towers year around. i decided i am moving to orlando after the summer. i just cant get enough. its so nice to be able to chat with people who feel the same way about disney as i do. if we werent fanatics we wouldnt be on the boards. its nice that walt disney invented a place we can all go be safe and leave our problems at the door. if he were still alive id shake his hand and tell him thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Wow, that makes me so excited for my coming trip. An 8 out of 10 is a good trip rating!:thumbsup2 Thanks Skip!

I hate that feeling of coming home from the magic.:grouphug: We're all here for you:laughing:

welcome home! I am glad it was a success (hurt foot aside)

anxiously awaiting the photos you have promised!
