Safetymom, that is so funny about your daughter getting into pin trading while on the WDWCP! My daughter did the exact same thing!

Marla, for pins, tell your daughter to go to the Cast Pin Event if she can. There's a CM pin there for the event she can buy. And they also have other pins she can buy for 75% off! I think the next one is July 31st. Tell her to check the Cast Portal.

DW gets her wish and we flyout today around 2:30 to go see DS for the weekend. She gets her hug and mini disney fix.

DS gets to do something cool next week. He read on the cast portal that they were looking for extras for two commercials they were doing. One for Mission Space and one For Mickey's Philarmagic. DW talking to him online said he ought to do it. He, while talking to her, sends an email. Gets an almost immediate response asking for a picture. He sends it and gets a call ten minutes later telling him he has been selected and when and where to be. COOL! One is all night long. I am assuming that is the Mission Space one, but who knows.

We told him there were advantages to being clean cut looking! He laughed.

Property Control........ Here we come! Oh yeah DS also! LOL

Well not actually. The tents at property control are still there but officially closed until the 24th! That is when Cast Connections and Property Control merge into the new building!!! On the 24th the grand opening of the new building and a big back to school sale. So if you are going to be there and have access, go and enjoy!

I think something will be lost with the tents gone!!!! NOT. The ability to rummage in the comfort of air conditioning will be great and no more lightning storms or floods!!!

Oh, Yeah DS is fine. Mom got her hug. Car is ok, not great, but ok. and WDW lives!!!! From the line at the airport today, people are traveling again. Cannot believe what people are bringing on planes these days, And the Stollers!!! Those things require an engineering degree to fold them up. I swear I saw one with an inboard DVD Player. It was right next to the ice machine!!!

Trying to contain DW that she cannot go back until labor day!!! We have not even unpacked and she is showing signs of Disney withdrawl! She is sitting in her room listening to Pal Mickey! ( yeah she had to have one!) Wondering why he is not telling her when the 3:00 parage is!!! Just kidding!!!

Marla: with what the new PC looks like it is going to look like, you might need two extra suitcases. It is funny to see all the CP kids who were showing us their treasures from PC. Yeah Mickey's, nose is missing but I just colored it in with a magic marker. True bargain hunters to the end!! Also several devoted new pin traders. Look for the new "Stitch" one! Rack pin! He is sitting surrounded by ducklings! Cute to the max!!

Oh well have to go unpack! It I don't DW will get in the car with the bag thinking she gets to go back!!!!! Yes Dear, Coming Dear!!!

Hmmm, I really do need to scout locations for our move. Hmmm, let me think about how I can get there.

It is located right by the old tent and the old trailer. You now enter the parking lot right next to the guard shack rather than going on down to the stop sign, turning left and then turning left again in to the parking lot. So, basically same area.

DS called his mom today and said he had his first rescue yesterday and it was not even in the pool. Do not know all the details yet, but a three year old little boy had seizures and stopped breathing. DS was first one mom got to. Seems his training kicked in and he did what he had to. Little boy appears to be ok. Spent the night in the hostpital.

We think it hit DS the reality of his job. If you have ever been in that situation, you know you always wonder if you will do what you need to do!

He is the best! But then again I have always known that !

Yes Dear....... wasn't it just a while ago that we were talking about the car and now we are talking about a hero! How neat! Now let's talk about critical things....... PROPERTY CONTROL! Every room in my house seems to have stuff that I haven't put away from our last trip.... and here I am thinking about more stuff.."Yeah, so what's the problem!" Anyway, I will be in DW again, with 15 yr old son, visiting DD on the 30th through Aug. 7. Anyone else going to be there? Then I'll be there Labor Day Weekend. Phew! If DD would be in a program in hmmmm let's see, how about Gary, Indiana, would we go there as much? Sure we would....NOT!

What kind of passes do you guys use for your many trips? We usually buy annual passes, but ours expired in June. I have a few days left on some older hoppers, but I'm trying to decide if I should just buy like a five day hopper or buy an annual again. I probably have about 9 days worth of passes, otherwise. Maybe I'll buy one for me and let DS use the singles. So many decisions. DD called and seems to love going to see the movies at Downtown Disney when she has time off. Passes for Cast members (when bought at the company D) are 5.00. Since she has the roommate problem and can't watch any tv in her apartment, she likes to go to the movies. Marla

We used hopper passes but I should have gotten AP's. I didn't realize how many times I would be visiting WDW while my daughter was in the program.

I miss those almost every 6 weeks visits. Hopefully we will be living down there in a few months.

Well, I would go for the AP. That way, it would not hold you back from going if you found any unforseen wonderfully cheap airfare and might like a spur of the moment trip.

I am wondering how soon after this is all over that we will all want to go again. January will be here before you know it.

My daughter wanted to turn around and go back after about a week here. She still talks about Disney and has been home now for 2 months. We are still trying to figure out how to get in a visit.

She is going back to work at Epcot for Food and Wine for a week. Mom of course will have to go with her.

I used my Annual Pass on my monthly visits to my CP'er.

My daughter came home late May. Two weeks later we were back for a 2 week vacation at WDW. She did not plan on working as she wanted to vacation. But as soon as we got to WDW, she felt that pull and wanted to work. She ended up working 3 days!

Now she's back at home and while she likes her paychecks from her at-home job, she talks all the time about when she is going back for another WDWCP term.

She also wants to go work now and then. I'm pushing for August! LOL

All the talk about property control makes me want to do a wild shopping spree- can I "borrow" one of your CPer's in October for a quick trip to PC? I can be the long lost cousin Sounds like PC is really turning into a big thing. When I did CP it wasn't even held on a daily basis, it was approximately 1x/week!! Can you imagine the horror Sounds like all the CPer's are having a great time, YesDear, congrats to your DS on a job well done. It is always nice to realize you know the right thing to do in a sitation like that. I had to use my first aid training once and it was scary. My grandmother was there and we told her, "Go call 911" She ran to the payphone and then came back and asked us what the # was Some people do not react well in an emergancy I suppose We can laugh about it now but I hope your DS realizes what an awesome job he did

Spoke to DS yesterday and all he knows is that the little boy is ok. All the lifeguards have monthly refreshers on their training. I asked him if he did not have to have his this month because he did the real thing!!! He said no that retraining had intesified.

He was very grateful that he had some guests come up to him the next day and say that he had done a good job. That meant a lot to him.

Well today is the day. The new PC opens. I guess I will have to call DW at work several times today to make sure she does not hop a plane mid day!!! LOL. ZPT1022 I guess PC has expanded over the years. It is now opened seven days a week and they have big auctions periodically.

We will be going in mid October for DS 21st brithday. ZPT1022 Who did you say your momma was??? Oh, yeah , her,... I think she is my moms, sister's, cousins, best friend!!!! LOL
