We've had a wonderful time in SoCal.
I read so much on this forum and it helped tremendously for our first visit.
I tried to go in with minimal expectations and just treat it as a 'new' park. Everything was wonderful - HMH blew me away... CMs were great. CarsLand is out of the world! My girls rode California Screamin' probably a half dozen times. My little guy loved Cars Land!!
PotC totally blows WDWs away... WoC was incredible. Enjoyed Carnation Cafe and Wine Country Trattoria, Ariels Grotto was a nice place but food so-so for the money.
Really bummed we didn't get on ToT... no FastPasses offered at all our 3rd day, only 2 elevators running and the 2nd day the app steered me wrong a bit as I went to get FPs for it, it said they were available and were not.
Very crowded Friday... a little much for me, but can't complain, still got much in. I got the best video of my DS4 getting super excited seeing Lightning McQueen and Mater during the Pixar Play Parade!!
MHP was congested but just in walkways... almost wish park was lit a little better at night, newbies like us had a hard time finding our way around in the crowd at times. We walked onto almost everything during MHP...snagged some great pins...
