Leave luggage at Port before checking in....

We arrive in Spain on Sept 9th for the Sept 10th Mediterranean sailing.

On Sept 10th, we board the Magic. However, we'd like to spend the day in Barcelona PRIOR to actually boarding the ship but don't want to haul our suitcases around with us.

Can we go to the ship that morning after checking out of our hotel and give our pre-tagged luggage to the ship porters; and return later to "check in" and board the ship for debarking?

I'm not sure if the hotel will hold our luggage until 2 or 3p.

Keep in mind if you're traveling from out of country you will have to go through customs and that may take up to an hour or so.
