... to find a way to MAKE me collect pins! O.K., I'm kind of kidding here but, I got my ME paperwork and luggage tage today and guess what? Disney gave me 2 free lanyard and pins coupons! I have been trying very hard to resist the whole pin thing.... I guess they know an untapped family when they see one!

I know what you mean. Our last trip my husband innocently bought a hat. I happens that some people use this particular kind of hat to collect pins. I very nice CM at Tusker House placed the first pin on his hat just to be nice. The second pin came with the Magical Gathering Fireworks Cruise. Now he thinks next time he'll have to add a couple pins. I think this is going to be bad - LOL

Did you book thru a TA? WDW? AAA? I collect pins and would love to get that lanyard.

I've decided collecting pins is too draining on my wallet, so I'm going to start collecting antenna toppers instead. At $4 each, they're a little easier on the checkbook!

The pin from the ME coupon is nothing special, I redeemed at the Poly gift store and it was just googy in a car. Nothing unique to ME. I thought it might get me hooked - but it was really nothing special. So far I am still safe from Pin trading.

I know that I have for the most part decided not to collect pins. But I also have a certain definition for "collecting". I "collect" pressed pennies, I want to get them all. But I would like to buy some pins. Mostly of my favorite characters and favorite rides. I have thought about getting a hat instead of a lanyard to put the pins on, this way I don't have to worry about something hanging from my neck.

I'm doing pretty good so far on the pin thing and believe me, that is saying something (I love to collect things!) -- I didn't know much if anything at all about pins on our 2004 trip, but picked up a couple special ones that caught my eye, (like with the year on it) then picked up a couple more in May and now a few on ebay, but I've really been good about sticking with just certain things (themes.) I've gotten some favorite attraction pins, but the ones I really like are the specific park pins for Epcot, AK, MK ect...or even better ones with symbols of all four parks. I'm staying away from character and movie pins, really just sticking with Walt Disney World specific pins and it's been fun. I'd really like to do some trading next trip...or at least think about it, so far I can't imagine trading any though since I love the ones I have. Yep, leave it to Disney. As if I don't collect enough of their stuff!
