Leave for the Poly in 36 hrs! UPDATED!!

Hi DISers!
We're off to the Poly concierge(LV) in 2 days and I will be happy to answer any burning questions when we come back. Let me know if you have a particular need before we leave. We plan on going to V&As, Hoop-De-Doo, Cailfornia Grille, Kona Cafe and 50's Prime Time. We may switch things around a bit to accomodate the change in park hours. We also have the kids in the Neverland Club for 2 evenings per their request and our delight. We believe that Disney is a family vacation and before we had children we were each other's family! LOL! I am so jealous! Have a totally awesome time! We're going in Sept to Poly Conc GV, and I have done so much planning and anticipating that I can't wait. Plan to leave my son at least one night at Neverland (my daughter did it 7 and 8 years ago). ENJOY! Can't wait to hear your trip report.

Have a great trip, Threehearts! Weren't you originally planning on GV this time around?! We changed our summer reservations from LV to GV as well! I'll be anxious to hear the details of your trip when you return.

I thought that you were off the boards since I hadn't seen you around lately. Yes, we were going to save a little money and go GV but you know...once you do LV it's hard to give it up.

I meant to say we changed from GV to LV! Yes, it is hard to give up that gorgeous view once you've tried it! I always end up justifying what I want somehow!

Have a great trip!! We are planning now for April 2003 Poly concierge. I believe we are doing GV, not sure about the extra for LV. Let us know your feelings on 1st or 3rd floor after you have been.

If you get a chance, can you ask about a length of stay for the mouse boats? My kids are into the bigger toys now, as am I......

Well...
I just got an email from concierge and then followed up on the phone with conc. CM. The resort is completely FULL this weekend and we did not receive either of our requests, one of which was very important(rel. to health). There is nothing they can do because no one is checking out except for a very few rooms on our arrival day, Saturday. Funny, how you get your hopes up a bit even though you know deep down that they are just requests. I may find another hotel on property until they can meet my health request but I'm not sure. It isn't even a case of juggling new arrivals around. They are just so full and have nowhere to really accomodate requests. One of the things that really threw a wrench in the situation is the number of families requesting connecting rooms. They get first preference. The CM said it is so bad that they are accomodating requests by the date that you booked. Send a smile my way!

I hope that you get your requests, or that they can throw some pixie dust your way! I thought that health related requests were guaranteed? I'm not positive on that though. I hope you have a magical trip any way it turns out!

Thanks jesdmill! They can't very well guarantee health requests if no one is moving within the conc. bldg. One option the CM said is that we could possibly move to another building and that guest would move to a second floor concierge room. At this point I'm just going to have a positive attitude and have fun regardless!

We are checking in on 4/27 also. I am guessing we will be on the 2nd floor?
