Leave A Legacy Tiles

My parents went looking for our tiles I had taken of my DD's in December and they couldn't find them.

Are they hard to find?

I can't remember, but I do believe they were in the front row. If I can find my tile information, I will let you know (my tiles were very near theirs, and it was the Disney CM who showed me my tiles who also showed me the 'NSYNC tiles).

That would be awesome! Thanks Janet2k :)

Shelly3girls - I just want to let you know a few things.

I tried to do a tile for my Mom who had also passed away. They cannot do a picture you bring to them. They would also not let me do a word tile that included words such as "in loving memory, we will remember you, you'll be in our hearts forever, ect". They told me this was because it was supposed to be a living monument about hope and the future, ect. The CM I was dealing with was also not very sensitive about the situation. I ended up leaving EPCOT in tears and being kind of bummed the rest of the day. I just wanted to let you know up front so you don't get disappointed like I did.

Thank you so much. I would have faced a similar emotional scene had I been turned away.

We had our childrens done last year for Easter. When we went back to WDW for Xmas, I totally forgot our paper with the code that tells you where the pictures are. I called my Mom at home and she gave me the number. Then I went to the kiosk and they have full directions on how to find your picture. It was really easy to find them. My kids loved it!!! I can't tell you how excited they were to see their own pictures. My oldest commented that when she's home and wishes she were on vaction, she just thinks of her picture. They send you a plastic (kind of like a negative) of your picture in a little gold paper sleeve. My kids put it in their scrapbooks. I think that this year my husband and I will get tiles too!

jennsuko thanks so much for sharing the information about memorial tiles. My dad loved Disney very much and we were able to take him one last time right after being diagnosed with terminal cancer last May. One of two requests he had after being told of his prognosis was to have a tile placed in Epcot. This gives me a few weeks to prepare and think about how we should handle this.

I am so sorry for you that they handled the situation poorly. I would think this is not an uncommon request. Did they offer any alternative suggestions for wording?
