hi, does anyone know how "leave a legacy" tile in epcot works? is it a quick and easy process? we're thinking of getting this as a choice on our dreammaker package.

I think you need to walk up to the Leave a Legacy booth and have you photo taken. Then you receive directions on where to find it.

Personally and in my opinion, I always thought it was a waste of money. The picture really isn't great quality. It's more like "Leave a Blob."

I feel the same way and I also feel like I am walking through a cemetary when I walk past those concrete things..........just my opinion.

thanks for the replies. i think we'll choose the planet hollywood coupon or the poster. can anyone describe the poster? thanks in advance.

Here is ours from our '99 family trip. I and my DW, Marie, are center row, 2nd from right, my DD, Natalie, and son, Vince (goatee), are to our left. I make a point almost every trip to stop by and take a look, great memories of that trip. We are sort of a part of the World. I think they are great.

We did the 'leave a legacy' with our package in the spring. There was no wait & it took a very short time to have it all done.

Dan, I think it's great, too, & I enjoy walking around looking at the photos. We haven't been since ours were put up but we will definitely find them next trip.

I guess this is why the package has different options since not everyone likes the legacy choice but I think it's kind of neat. :D

We also did the Leave a Legacy on one of the last trips whenthe whole family was there. Of course there are only 1 or 2 people per photo, but it's really a nice feeling to stop by each trip to see our family all together in our favorite place... and right under Spaceship Earth...

thanks for everyone's opinions. i think i'll take the easy way out and let my husband choose the option!

My DS & I did ours in 1999 when they first came out. I'm glad we did. I would have liked to have had a Brick, but we didn't get one in time.
We enjoy going to look at our tile on our trips. It's neat to see how much he's changed.
I do wish the tiles were a little larger, allowing for more detail.

I had my picture taken in the beginning before any of the tiles were up. It was a very quick process. I have no regrets & would do it again. The first thing I do when I get to Epcot is look for my tile & take a picture of it. I think that it is very cool that there is a picture of me in WDW.

Anyone know how much it costs if it's not in a package? We are AP holders and it's buy one get one free, but I don't know how much it is to buy one, lol!

Dh and I did it in 1999 and we are glad we did it. It's fun to go back and look at it. We wish we got a brick but as others have stated they were all sold out by the time we thought of getting one.

The cost is $25 a tile. With an annual pass it is buy one tile get one free. SInce there is only two of us and I did not need two pictures of us I put a message on the second one. You can choose a frame and up to nine charactes per line with 6 lines available. I put our first names, place we live, date of photo. I can't wait to see them when we go back.

They do fade over time but it takes a long time for that to happen.

I'm glad we did it.

Thanks for the info! We're going down for dd's birthday, and this would be a really cool way to mark the occasion!

We did ours this past May. When we went back in September, it was displayed.
We think it is neat.
We also are AP holders, so we had our pictures on one tile and a saying on the other.
My husband is tall enough to see it, but I have to stand on the little ledge at the base of the wall.
We visited EPCOT almost every day of our two week stay in September. Each day we stopped to see the picture.

I may have missed it, but if you have an AP, the tiles are buy one get one free...

Too bad they don't have the bricks available in Epcot. ::MickeyMo
