Has anyone had an experience with the Leatherman Tread, and boarding? For any who do not know what the Leatherman Tread is, it is a TSA approved multitool bracelet with no knife. https://www.leatherman.com/tread-425.html
I have flown multiple times with it, but upcoming will be my first cruise since I got it. Any ideas of if security will confiscate it?

I honesty don't know, I would contact DCL. However, if the TSA doesn't have a problem with it I would assume that would be good enough for Disney.

Should be no issue at all. I usually just throw any items like a pocket knife or multitool into the toiletries bag and see it on board. Even if you wear it through security and it sets off the metal detector, there isn't anything threatening on it, and I'm sure most people would have no idea what it is just by looking at it.

We live in Portland, OR, where Leatherman tools are made. Call or email them (leatherman.com) if you have concerns. The Tread is a creative tool that could be a bracelet or form of jewelry...awesome for backpackers/hikers. Pricy ($200ish) but so clever. The founder's story is worth a read. His products have spawned a lot of knock-offs.

So you would suggest putting it with the items that are delivered to the room?

If you want to be sure of no hassle I would do that.

I would probably just wear it to security and drop it in my carry-on bag as it goes through x-ray (I assume there is enough stainless steel to set off the alarm on the metal detector). It looks like a gothic styled bracelet so I doubt you would even have anyone look at it weird if at all. Plus, as you mentioned there isn't a knife. And it isn't a tool box or power tool which is prohibited by DCL listed here. .

I wouldn't. I would wear it, and if it set off the metal detector just put it in a little bin. They'll see a funky chunky bracelet.

Thanks for the question b/c it alerted me to something that at first I thought was silly and then I saw was useful. And DH would absolutely positively love it. So thanks for spending my money for me! :) :) :)
