Hello Disney fans. I was wandering about the different types of sandals that one could wear while down in Disney World. I want a good pair of sandals that I could wear all day while on vacation in the "World", but want something that is comfortable, and can dry out after I get off of, say Splash Mountain. I'm looking at getting a pair of leather ones, but affraid that they won't be good for Splash Mountain. What has been some of your experiences on this? Any helpfull tips will be appreciated.

Last year I had leather ones that fel "squishy" when wet and they did not dry quickly. I ordered some Tevas that are also leather and I'm thinking I should have gone with the nylon???
My daughter had on Reeboks & socks every day until she whined about hot feet (around 11:00 a/m) so we got her sandals (Minnie Mouse leather/plastic from Target!) and she was fine in those the rest of the day. Her shoes dried much faster too.

Nylon Teva"s are great. Comfortable to walk in all day and they can get wet.............

I just got my first pair of teva's recently. Got the pretty rugged type. They are nylon with padding underneath the straps and adjustable heel strap for added fit. I called the teva number on line to ask a representative about the type that I should try. He suggested these when I told him that we would be going to disney and walking alot and getting wet. You can get these cheaper at zappos.com $69.00 total. Free shipping and returns.

I would go with nylon since leather stretches and then shrinks when it gets wet. Even if you're not going to ride any water rides that day, you still can get wet if it rains or if you walk too close to a fountain. Just make sure they are high quality, like Tevas. You don't want the color to run.

Great, thanks everyone...nylon sandals it is. I was just at the Kittery, Maine outlet stores on Sunday and found Teva's for around $50. I think I'm heading back and getting a pair or two.
