leather couch pros and cons?

I've got a leather sofa and recliner that match and then a cloth recliner and a couple of chairs that just coordinate. My leather pieces feel cool year around and we've never stuck to either.

Yeah, I don't get this either. I don't have leather furniture, but my parents have a leather recliner, and I've never stuck to it. Maybe because they don't let the house get hot? I guess if you didn't use a/c it could be an issue.

I saw this leather sectional in the Costco coupon book and the price was very tempting. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Produc...1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC850-Cat4914&topnav=
We had an old-fashioned leather Chesterfield when I was growing up but I realized that I don't know anything about today's leather furniture. Any pros, con's, advice?
TIA!

We purchased a leather sofa and matching chair from our local Costco warehouse about a year ago. It is Valenti Sofitalla brand and is described as made of "Premium top-grain leather." As I recall, the price of the sofa was about $900.00. I don't remember the price of the chair. So far it has worn very well. I have a herd of Yorkshire Terriers that are all over it and no scratches or punctures. I bought near the end of the season and when it went on blowout sale, I asked them to match the price and they did. It was about 30 days after my purchase. That saved me some money on the purchase price because of the price refund. I love Costco for their consumer friendly policies! Anyway, what I would suggest checking your local store. They often carry merchandise that is not available online.

Obviously, leather is more expensive and the more you pay for it, the more you feel you'll be stuck with it for a long long time even if you decide later that you don't like it.

We have leather in our house and a 65 lb dog, she hasn't messed it up at all. I love leather, it's so easy to clean.

You are probably right. I live in East Texas and my air conditioner has been on since late March/early April. Summer in Texas without air conditioning=heat stroke!:scared1:
