Least Favorite DVC Resort

Now I am really curious about the hallways!! They can't be that long. Are valet services a "must" for luggage delivery?

We got a BW View room for this trip - just to get the full "Boardwalk" experience. I am excited about it! We stayed at the Swan last year and walked around one night - and I really liked what I saw of the Boardwalk area.

I am working on my TR right now from our BWV stay. And I specifically paced off the distance from the farthest room to the elevator. I am 5'2" but have a decent stride and it took me 295 steps from the farthest point to the elevators and took approx. 2 minutes to walk it.

On a side note...we were not all the way down...maybe about 1/2 way (still a distance) and DH was like "Wow, I guess being a DVC member does not have its privleges when it comes to room location...could we be any farther from the elevator???" I kept my mouth shut, but I was like "if you only knew....!" We were in one of the little wings, so he didn't really see the whole length of the main hallway.

Yes, they are THAT long! We did not use valet services because our villa was not so far from the parking lot, easier to walk there than the lobby for the valet.

Someday we will give BWV another try. I'll bet if we got a room that was a little closer to everything, we would love it.

Ironically, my least favorite WDW vacation was a BWV stay where we had a room that was only a few steps away from the main lobby. We gave the resort another try and loved it -- despite being only 3 or 4 rooms away from the very end of that loooong hallway!

As it turned out, I didn't enjoy that first vacation because of the company we were keeping and a cold I was fighting off. Somehow that left me with residual negative feelings about BWV.

I'm SO glad we gave it one more try!

Ironically, I was having foot problems when we stayed at BWV! (I attributed it to those long hallways!) Yes, when I think of BWV I think of my blisters.

Next time I will make sure my feet are in tip-top shape and I will love it also.

Well as of this week we have stayed all WDW DVC's and we have to say OKW was the worst for us. Way to big, not very kept up room, having to take a bus to get to the main lobby it crazy. We just stayed a week at VWL and that or SSR would be our next least favorite and we are at the BWV right now and we love it here. But then again we have a GREAT room location. We are right next to the elevators with a nice pool view. We can get to the lobby, pool or boardwalk in less then a minute each. So that probably has something to do with it.

Annual pass holders are currently offered discounts for only two DVC resorts, SSR and OKW at $164 per night. I was hoping the BWV or VWL would be available.

And that price is about right for what you get at SSR . Disney isnt stupid, they know better than anyone what the demand is for the different resorts.

I keep hearing negatives about BWV halls.......but ironically, nothing else has been negative!! So I will gladly tighten up my tennis shoes for the great things about BWV like entertainment, great decor, close to 2 parks, places to eat, free valet parking, great room views (especially boardwalk views), and the standard room rates. Well, I probably have not mentioned them all, but the positives far outweigh the negative! Like I said, I'll tighten up my tennis shoes anyday!!

Have not stayed at VB or HH so I chose BWV, mainly due to the parking.

For some reason I'm not wild about BCV. I really like BWV alot and wish we had bought our points there instead of VWL, but I just don't like the appearance of BCV for some reason. Other than BCV though, I really do like all of the other resorts.
