Help does anyone know when the least crowded time to go to WDW is???? I am willing to keep my daughter out of school so that is not an issue.
We just do much better with less crowds :)

We were just there 1/23-1/29 and except for Saturday crowds were very light. Never really had to wait long if at all and got to ride things multiple times and also was able to get there early leave after lunch and go to a different park in the evening. I would not hesitate to return this time of year. Bonus was that the weather was great. I got talking to a CM at the hotel about this and was told that Jan 15-Feb 15 and the middle of Oct-mid November and early Dec are the best times. Hope that helps.

We have gone 2 yrs in a row the week before thanksgiving great
weather not too hot no crowds(last Nov,05) we were on test track
with ds (3) and it was so quiet we went on 2x's without getting out
and back in line.. kooooooool

Thanks I think we are planning some time in the fall. I Know enough not to even attempt the summer time. :sunny:

My favorite time to go in early Sept. right after Labor Day. The crowds are very sparse and I usually can walk onto attractions like Dumbo and BTMR. The weather is warm but can turn rainy quickly. It is hurricane season after all so pack your rain ponchos and perhaps an umbrella.
I just returned from WDW and found it a bit more crowded than it was in Sept. but still nothing compared to summer.

Enjoy!

On our last trip, we were told by a veteran CM that September is the slowest month of the year, followed by January. September does have other things to take into consideration, however, like possible hurricanes. It's also VERY hot.

We were 'forced' to take our '05 WDW trip in Jan., from New Year's Day to the 10th. Once the holiday crowd cleared out, by the 3rd, we practically had the place to ourselves, didn't use FP for the last 7 days.

We've been during several times of the year that have worked well crowd and weather-wise, but I have to say September was the best.

We originally booked for right after Labor Day 2004 and moved our trip back a couple of weeks to dodge one of the hurricanes. We ended up being hit by Hurrican Jeanne, but even then still had a great time. Disney handled everything very well. We only missed out on one day and that day was spent in our room really enjoying our little family - so it worked out very well.

While the weather was extremely hot, the crowds were so low that it more than made up for it. We were able to get lots of stuff done in the parks and still enjoy the pool.

I agree September is a wonderful month to go...crowd wise. :woohoo: But, it is extremely hot. If school isn't an issue it a great time.

I have gone twice in October, the last week of the month. It's a good time to go - if you go at the end of the month, you can go to the Not So Scary Halloween Party, plus you have the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

Drawbacks: There is a chance that it will be very hot, plus it's during hurricane season (I was there when Hurricane Wilma hit last October, but it ended up not being a big deal, since we got the very "edges" of the hurricane). Surprisingly, post-hurricane weather is actually very good, though - nice temps, no humidity! There's a silver lining to every cloud!!

Early Janaury, right after New Year's, is always pretty low crowd-wise. We go every year for the Marathon Weekend. Marathon Weekend is a tad busy, but by Monday evening/Tuesday morning, you can shoot a cannon through the place and not hit anyone.

Late January is least crowded, I think. After the New Year's people leave, and then all the British people, it is super-empty. But it gets cold, too. This year, though around the 9th, I forget the day exactly, we were watching SpectroMagic and it was about 32 degrees.

So, September is a better bet weather-wise! And not very crowded at all.

Or now. Would you like to go now? You can take me!
:goodvibes

I love sept. we walked on all the rides this year it was great no wait. We left the friday after labor day and stay 9 nights. It was great. :thumbsup2

I am confused. Having never ventured to Disneyworld, the time of year seems very difficult to work out. A few other websites say the first 2 weeks of Dec are the best times for crowds, with pretty good weather, but then I read about Pop
Warner Kids (not sure what that is- being an Aussie), and that it can get crowded there.

SOme are saying that Sept has too hot weather? Isn't that also still Hurricane season??

Boy, organising a Disneyland trip seems much easier !!

you are right.

i was at the world fom aug 28 - sept 02 this year and is was really really hot but it rained every afternoon (a bit more than usually i think due to katrina) for about 0,5-1 hour. the waterparks were still open though...it was really wonderful .

i've been only twice to wdw since im from germany and it is really expensive for us but sept is the best time imho.

hope i was able to help you
