Least Appealing Resorts?

I want to try all resorts over time, but I'll probably never go to the off site resorts because I just hate beach vacations. I can stay on a beach for 30 minutes before starting to scream.
I don't like BLT architecture, because it's so similar to the worst building in Rome, but I'll try it for its convenience and I know I may be surprised.
I didn't care much about OKW but booked it because of the two queens beds and I've enjoyed staying there much much more than I expected.

I'm to the point in life where if anyone chooses to be offended because someone doesn't like their resort or feels their resort has had a significant, and in many ways, negative impact on the system (SSR) that's on them.

Wow! Never thought of Castaway Cay, that would be awesome.

Actually, on our cruise last year, the ONLY part I really loved was Castaway Cay. I turned to my wife and said "Now if Disney built something like this, I'd be in!" and then I said "Oh wait, they did! Aulani!"

I think the "failure" of Aulani (not that they didn't make a great resort, more the difficulty they seem to be having in selling it) makes the likelyhood of an East Coast Carribean resort pretty low. However, I would be up for that. MF would be a bear, though.

I have stayed at almost every DVC resort on property - the only ones missing are Poly and VGF -have stayed at both hotels though.
I own at VWL - my favorites are:
1. Jambo house - the only pool at WDW with shaded areas to lounge in
2. VWL - just love the feel of it - haven't been back since the rehab though so that might change
3. OKW - I love the size of the rooms - but have only stayed there when I've driven so I haven't had to deal with the buses
3. BCV - love being able to walk to Epcot and MGM (DHS) I know

My least favorite is Saratoga Springs - I have tried it 3 times and have had bad experiences each time. It seems to be the resort that is jinxed for me.

Haven't stayed at either but SS and BWV have no appeal to me. I don't like the way they look. I imagine I will still try both at some point.

I've stayed at all the WDW DVC resorts except SSR. I just have no desire for SSR. I have visited the DVC center there and the food court and didn't like the feel with all the buildings. I cringe when I see those rooms across from the fire station, I think that would be terrible with the traffic. It does have the advantage of the bridge to DTD, I saw the new one by the bus stops when I was there in October.

We own at SSR but we have also stayed in AKL(Kidani), VWL, BWV, and BLT. We have two days at the Poly this next trip (studio, not the bungalows!). I would love to stay at VGF but have been unable to get a studio at 7 months. I also want to try OKW just to try it. I have no desire to stay at BCV because I know I'd end up looking over the street, and we do enjoy our balcony time. I won't go back to AKL because it wasn't relaxing for me and the bus rides were awful.
We may do a brief trip next summer if we can swing it after our spring break Dream cruise. If we can't get VGF I will probably book OKW or go back to SSR--haven't actually stayed there since 2009!

If you're talking about road noise, I've never seen a problem when we stayed there and all of our stays have been in congress park or the Paddocks (closer to the main road). Overall, I think the road noise is more at OKW, sometimes a lot more. Much of OKW is closer to the road than many realize and the buses internally have to do quite a bit of maneuvering and are a lot closer to the buildings than at SSR.

We've stayed everywhere except WLV, Aulani, and BL. We have found something to love at each one! In fact, during each stay we feel this "one" might be our favorite! We own at SSR and think it's a beautiful, relaxing resort ...love the walk to Downtown! We also just bought at PVB and have our first stay coming up in July. We find ourselves returning to the beach resorts more than we thought we would. In fact, I just booked a cash stay at HH for the summer. One of the reasons we loved the idea of DVC was how different each resort is. It makes us feel that even though we are vacationing a lot at Disney, each trip is like going somewhere new. I've got a camping trip coming up to Ft, Wilderness and I'm betting that trip makes me want to add WLV into the rotation!
