Learning Resources

[Monte Cristo]

I have been interested in photography for a while now and strictly have been using a point and shoot digital camera until now. I just bought a new camera based on the recommendations I have seen from people on this board.

Now....can anyone recommend a good learning resource so I can learn to use the camera and all it's capabilities? Please treat me as if I know nothing! Not exactly true, but close. Books, websites, or all of the above.

What kind of camera did you buy? I just purchased a Rebel XT and there are several books geared toward that camera.
I purchased The Digital Rebel Digital Field Guide by Charlotte K. Lowrie from amazon. It serves both as a manual to the camera and a "photography for dummies" general guide. Great reference guide, I keep it in my camera bag (when it's not by my side!).
