This might sound like a silly question, but I've never flown with children before. The most I've ever taken on a plane with me is a book. We are flying in February, and I'm packing a bag for my daughter to play with on the plane. Can I bring along her LeapPad? It would save having to bring a lot of stuff because it would keep her occupied.

Thanks. Nicole

I know you can bring a game boy and laptop..both have to be off while taking off and landing. They tell you when.

We are flying out tomorrow with our 4yr old DS. He is going to get his leap pad as an early Christmas Gift! Leap pad does have a volume control so I don't think it will be too annoying or anything. It also has a headphone jack, I'm bringing a set just in case. I'll post again when we get home...on Christmas Eve.

We flew on sept 21st of this year to disney from NY, I had no problem taking my daughter's leap pad on board. It was great, kept her occupied for an hour!

Our leap pad with volumn turned way down bothered people in front of us. Next time we brought headphones abd had no problem.

Thanks for posting this question. I was wondering about this also. My kids are both getting a leap pad with books for Xmas and I think I will let them decide if they want to bring it. Continental now has these great headphones that go over your ears instead of the ones that go over your head and are too big for the kids. You pay $2 for them and you get to keep them and bring them on any of their flights.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think this will be a definite on our trip. She is getting it for Christmas, so it will still be new to her.

Definitely bring headphones. If a neighboring pax is bothered by the noise and complaines, the FA will tell you to turn it off. It's not fair to annoy fellow pax with noises from electronic games, or even headsets with volume turned up too loud.

Just to go off topic a bit...can you advise ages of your children and which Leap Pap books they enjoy as I'm giving the Leap Pad to my 3 1/2 & 5 1/2 year old daughters and want to buy the most enjoyable books. Also, are there special headphones to buy for these Leap Pads? Thanks in advance :jester:

dreamer - each of the books has the ages it is appropriate for on the cover. That is the best thing to go by.
