Has anyone stayed at this hotel prior to their trip? as I'm thinking of booking a room there.

What are the the facilities like & would you recommend it?

Cheers
Mick

We have already booked a family room there for the night before our flight and would also be interested to hear about this hotel

We stayed there last year. The rooms were very nice. We didn't use any of the facilities, so I am sorry can't help you there. We are staying in the Hilton this year so I will be able to compare.

We stayed there in February, we were late getting in as someone was caught with a grenade in the terminal that day, so we didnt use the facilities. We had a family room overlooking the bar area, it was very nice. My only complaint would be the air con, it was lovely and cool in the kids end but roasting where the double bed was. We didnt eat there as parents had been before and said it was expensive.

We stayed there last month and it was fine, it did take them 3 attempts to get us the right room which didn't impress me incredibly though, we'd booked a family room (1x double bed, 1 x sofa bed) and arranged for a travel cot to be put in, they allocated us a room with just a double and the travel cot, nowhere for DD to sleep, then moved us to an identical room! Eventually though they got it right!

Location is excellent to the North Terminal, but again we didn't use any of the facilities.

Used it a copuple of times and will again in April 2004. very impressed the first time, lovely double room with view of aircraft and great toiletries to nick! Second time was disappointing. We ordered a triple room and it was vey cramped, with a pull out sofa bed for DD with which she wasn't very impressed!
We did eat in the restaurant, and although it wasn't cheap the food and service were great and we enjoyed it and the cocktail lounge a lot (DD is 19!!).

Transfers and parking arrangements are easy. Can't comment on facilities because we were too busy eating and drinking to notice!

I am happy to use it again.
