Sorry it's JCPVALUE (over $49) Fifty lashes with a wet noodle- noodle cooked in the Le Creuset pot, of course! And yes, it is the enameled steel, but I like it for boiling liquids.

That pot is always $49- they have it at amazon and Cooking.com.
So not a rush out and grab it kind of price- but still a cute pot. I used my big daddy yesterday that I got at the outlets for $100(it is the 9 1/2 qt oval stockpot that is orginally $300- it was a sale and not on a seconds- it's first quality!! )

I have also recently seen some at TJ Maxx!

Am I right in thinking that this pot isn't enameled cast iron? From the description, it looks like it's enameled steel. Of course, that's not as heavy, but probably not the Le Creuset that most people would expect.

That's right- hence the lower price. But for a soup pot or spaghetti sauce that's probably good.

I use my big one for stews and soups (I LOVE the heavy cast iron and the heat it keeps! oh it bakes like a dream!) I am all about the RED!

I have one of those technique ones and trust me it's not the same. Le Creuset has been doing it for almost 100 years. You get what you pay for with cast iron. I did buy a cast iron skillet from Paula Dean's collection on QVC- it's a chicken fryer and that is a good pan. But for enamel nobody does it like Le Creuset.
