Without trying to sound like an idiot, can someone explain what the mushroom filet mignon is? Is it the steak with mushroom risotto or is the steak cooked with mushrooms? I don't know how to cook, so I'm a little confused
I do not like mushrooms - I can tolerate them but I read that this dish is very good. Can someone please go into a little detail about this dish? Thanks
I got you covered! The mushroom filet is dusted in porcini (sp?) mushroom powder. It's served on top of the wild mushroom risotto, and then has a white truffle sauce and herb buerre blanc on the top of it. Top it off with some fried parsnips as kind of a garnish et voila!
I had the daily surf & turf special when we went this past September...it was a Tuesday. Get that, if it is available. It was TDF!!!!
Also the mussels appetizer was THE BEST...seriously, even a non-foodie would fine it great!
The mushroom filet and risotto is my favorite thing at LeCellier...and also my 12yo DD's favorite. Nothing strange about the flavor, just great steak and nice creamy risotto! YUM....
