Le Cellier - would this be frowned upon?

I have not been to WDW since I was diagnosed with Celiac disease. I would love to go to Le Cellier for lunch but just have their poutine. Would this be frowned upon? I would leave a decent tip, of course. I guess I could get a dessert also but the only GF offering is sorbet.

It says it’s gluten free on the online menu. Which is why I would like to try it! Usually, it is thickened with wheat flour but perhaps they are using corn starch.
DW & DD are celiacs also, double check with the chef

Nobody is going to force you to eat more than you want. Go and have fun!

I certainly will double check to see if it’s gluten free. This trip is going to be a bit of a learning curve for me! I have several CS restaurants earmarked already.

My sister and I got a last minute reservation to Les Chefs last week and we only got the appetizer salad (two of them) and one soup. The waiter did not (seem to) mind at all and even brought us extra bread. It was so hot we didn't feel like eating much.
Order what you like and enjoy! 🤤

Pretty sure I had a wedge salad and gluten-free poutine when I ate there the last time. I didn't ask what they made the gravy with but I had no reaction.

It's not rude. You can also talk to the chef about what options can be made gluten-free. They might have special desserts or entrees that cna be modified.

I know they can do the Chocolate Moose. My server surprised me with that on my birthday trip!

My son is GF, and he got the poutine a few months ago.....I even tried it, and I didn't taste much difference from the regular poutine!

You can always order as much or as little at Disney sit downs to my understanding.
We were at Tony's in MK 2 days ago and had normal size meals but our lovely server said people come in all the time and only order the bread & a drink....not even alcohol (bread is absolutely outstanding.....holy cow I can see why they want).

My sister and I went to Tony's last week and ordered 2 diet cokes, the bread (yes, absolutely amazing!) and the mozza sticks along with a Caesar salad and shared it--the lovely server even brought us an extra plate. She did not make us feel guilty at all for not ordering main entrees.

Great! I will feel better about ordering this now. I see there are 2 different poutines and only the one is gluten free.

Any restaurant where you can order from a menu shouldn't be a problem. Order whatever you want. The only thing you can't do at Disney (and probable everywhere else) is go to a buffet or some sort of fixed price place and tell them you only eat a little and don't want to pay full price. Those places charge per person regardless of how little/much you plan to eat.

I did not know the bread at Tony’s was so delicious! Any photos, anyone? May have to give it a try! 👍🏻😊
