Le Cellier - worth it if not on the Dining Plan ?

Le Cellier is only so hyped up because it was a good value for 1 TS credit and lots of people don't want the more ethnic foods in Epcot. The quality of the steaks isn't very good and the tables are jammed in very close together. We switched to Yachtsman Steakhouse after a number of not so great meals at Le C. YS is far superior. The quality of the meat is remarkably different. The price difference isn't huge either. The filet at Le C is $35 and YS it's $40. The larger steaks at YS are easily shareable as well which isn't the case at Le C. I assume Le C will raise prices when they go to 2 credits but hopefully they will improve the quality of the beef as well.

I really don't understand what people like about the cheese soup. It's gross..... it looks gross and tastes like nothing... what's to get excited about?

I'll admit the NY Strip was very good and I liked the chocolate whiskey cake.... but I don't get the admiration for the cheese soup.

I would go there just for the soup.

We love it, but I think a big part of that is because it is a good use of the dining plan. I would NOT go there and pay OOP. I think you could get more for your money somewhere else.

If you want to eat in the park, you'll pay for the privledge. Disney food is absolutely over-priced.

Le Cellier is a fine place to eat, but it's not all that. I wouldn't pick it over Outback or Longhorn. Heck, there are other restaurants in the WS I'd pick before Le Cellier.

You can certainly save money eating elsewhere.

But if you want to eat there, then I guess it is "worth it." Like everything else, "worth it" just depends on how much you want something and how much money you have.

I don't know anything about the dining plans, regular or "free lunch."
