I know the Nine Dragons has gotten some bad press in the past. Has anyone been to both the Nine Dragons and Le Cellier and which one you liked best. I'm trying to plan an anniversary dinner and I am not really a steak eater however, my DH is. Thanks for the advice

I have eaten at both. If I want chinese the Nine Dragons is good. Le Cellier is one of our favorites and they dont just serve steak. You might want to check out the menus at www.wdwig.com/menu/menus.htm

My vote goes to LeCellier it is on our must do list when we visit WDW.Nothing wrong with Nine Dragons but nothing in our opinion that makes it stand out, average Chinese food.:wizard: :goodvibes ::yes:: :wave2:

I think that on atmosphere alone, I owuld choose Le Cellier. It's very cosy with a fireplace and candles. I could make a meal out of the cheese soup, bread and a salad! Nine Dragons has been good every time I have gone but the atmosphere is just not there!

We have been to both, but you are really comparing apples to oranges with these 2 places.

We did enjoy eating at Nine Dragons for lunch. Food was good. My kids love Chinese so it was a hit, at least for my older one. My then 3 yo slept thru lunch. When she did wake up she got a soft pretzel.

LeCellier we tried for our first time last year and is now a must do for us. Both me and DH got filet mignon with a lobster tail, both had cheese soup and dessert. Yummy! There are some other items besides steak on the menu so it's worth a peek. But they do have sides and sauces you can get to go along with your steak. My family is now addicted to bearnaise sauce and my 5 yo who is not a fan of steak always clears her plate when I make the sauce.

LeCellier is also a nicer atmosphere, especially if it's only for 2.;)

I also vote for Le Cellier. It is one of our favorite restaurants in all of WDW. Nine Dragons was good but there was nothing that made it stand out above any other decent Chinese restaurant.

Add another vote for Le Cellier. It has great steak, but also much more if you're not a steak lover. The atmospehere is also much better than Nine Dragons for an anniversary dinner.

Le Cellier!!!
Nine Dragons is not very good.

I am not a steak lover and I love Le Cellier. Depending on my mood -- I have had the cheese soup, and salad or the chicken dinner (melt in your mouth) and the maple glazed salmon is wonderful.

Save the Chinese Food for you favorite home restaurant.

The service, food and atmosphere at Le Cellier is an experience!

No contest as far as I'm concerned! Le Cellier wins hands down. We have always had exceptionally good service from friendly, outgoing waitresses and the food and atmosphere are extra-special. For an anniversary dinner you want to go someplace special. While Nine Dragons is okay, it's just like your local Chinese restaurant. I like Le Cellier enough that I'm planning to overcome my discomfort and eat there alone when I make my first solo trip in February.

Definitely Le Cellier! Their food is the best in EPCOT these days. Love the Cheese Soup, steaks are great and other selections are available. Seems I remember a very good Salmon with a Maple Syrup glaze.

Not even close. LE CELLIER. Wonderful steak and a great chedder cheese soup. Nine Dragons just isn't as good. I could get there food from a nice Chinese place around where I live for half the price. Le Cellier gets my vote.

AND it was awesome and most certainly the best meal we had at WDW. And we ate out ALOT!!

Cheese soup was delicious, the pretzel bread is as famous as the cheese soup for a reason!!

DH and I both got the surf and turf special of the night. I will tell you I have had my share of lobster at WDW, but this by far was the best lobster tail I have EVER had. The steak was called a butchers cut, which is flavored like a NY strip with the tenderness of a filet mignon. (Waiters description) It was accompanied by a potato gratin. We also ordered the bernaise sauce and sauteed mushrooms. DH had a beer and I had a drink, cant remember what! and 2 kids meals. Price was $140.

Havent eaten at Nine Dragons so I cannot speak of that. Hopefully next time.

Having eaten at both recently, I prefer Le Cellier. Cheese soup....mmmmm.

Well. Nine Dragon's serves way better Chinese food than Le Cellier, and Le Cellier serves way better steak than Nine Dragons.

We're talking apples vs oranges here....

I would suggest you think about what other meals you've got lined up. If you've already got lots of steak&seafood planned, maybe Nine Dragons might work better. But as someone mentioned earlier, ND is not that much different than your local Chinese food restaurant.

Hungry, and glad that I picked Le Cellier for my CP dinner package in December!!

Does anyone know if all these yummy sounding things (like the cheese soup and pretzel bread) will be offerred as part of the CP package menu? I can't remeber how that works; whether or not we pick the meal off the regular menu or not.....

Thanks!!

No question, Le Cellier over Nine Dragons any day. Nine Dragons was one of the worst meals I have ever had at Disney. Prices are high, portions are small, and the food is on par with just about any local chinese carry-out.
