Have booked Le Cellier for our Dec. trip and have children 6 and 8, just wondering if it's too formal for kids that age or will they be able to find something to eat there, kid appropriate?

Le Cellier formal at all. To me the tables are a bit close but there is a general buzz from all the people in the area. The buzz means that people with kids that not always use their inside voice, like mine, are not disruptive to others.

Your kids should be able to find things to eat. Here's the menu from earlier this year:

Beef & Macaroni - Made with marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella served with veggies and fruit salad. Includes choice of juice, 1% milk, or bottled water. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.59
Kids Picks: Choice of 1 appetizer, 1 entree, & 1 dessert - Appetizer: Carrot & Celery sticks or Canadian Cheddar cheese soup. Entree: Pasta with tomato sauce, Hot Dog, or Grilled Steak (add $2.00). Dessert: Fruit cup or Ice cream. Meal served with choice of juice, 1% milk, or bottled water. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.59
Pizza - Made with mozzarella and diced chicken (optional) served with veggies and brown-sugar apples. Includes choice of juice, 1% milk, or bottled water. French fries and soft drinks available upon request. - $7.49

We have a 6 and 8 year old and are going to be dining here for the first time in December too. I don't worry too much about my kids because they are very good about being in places that may be boring to them....they always find something to do. As for the food, even though they are night and day when it comes to that subject, they always find something that they will eat. As for it being too formal for your kids, I wouldn't worry about it, the restaurant is still in a theme park, so there will be a lot of other kids dining there as well.

My kids have eaten there twice the first time they were 2 & 5. It is not formal at all and you will see a bunch of kids.

We were there at Spring Break this year with our 6 & 8 year olds. They did not mind it at all. Both found something they like to eat. It's not Chef Mickey's but they did very well.

It is a little stuffy and tables are close but that is part of the appeal.

Have fun

I was just there. It was loaded with children that age and younger. This restaurant is so small that the toddler having a hissy fit at the table next to you will kick you. I did not find the stuffy close tables part of the appeal. I loved the mussels and would drop in to have them again if I could, but I won't be back there for a few more years because it's a mess in there. Kids should do fine there, foodwise. All the kids there except the fit-throwing toddler were doing well with their food.
