Ok so we've got a ressie for Le Cellier dinner and now I am trying to decide between the following options. (Found on allears.net menus)

  • New York Strip Steak - topped with bercy butter and served with Gruyere Yukon Gold Potato Gratin
  • Salt-crusted Prime Rib - with Roasted Yukon Potatoes finished with au jus and horseradish cream sauce
  • Veal T-Bone - with black bread "Pazanella" salad and Banyuls vinaigrette
  • Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - with wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce

Please vote, but also provide me with your insights, experiences. Thanks.

The Mushroom Filet Mignon was incredible! It was the best meal that I have had at WDW yet. My husband had the NY Strip steak and was not impressed. I gave him a taste of my filet mignon. He said that he wished he would have order it instead of the strip streak.

Prime Rib was one of the best I have ever had...anywhere.

I am a steak/prime rib eater, love the stuff, can't get enough and have to say this prime rib was so tender you could cut it with a fork.
No heavy seasoning or rub on the meat, just plain salt to enhance the original flavor.
It was spectacular, plan on having it in Feb for our anniversary.

I order the filet mignon and ask to have the cream cheese mashed potatoes with it instead of the risotto. It's an amazing meal!:thumbsup2

I have had the Filet Mignon. it is always my choice of steak to order at any restaurant, and I can honestly say it was the most tender, most delicious one i have ever had in my entire life! (and AuntRead is no spring chicken).
Now while the Filet Mignon is my recomendation, I can also tell you that my brother had the Prime Rib and raved about that as much as I raved about my meal.
Hope you enjoy your meal, whichever choice you make!

So far what I'm getting is that the NY Strip is over-rated, no one has tried the Veal T-bone and that there is a split between the Filet and Prime Rib. Hmmmm.. both sound great.

I have never been to this restaurant, but the only reason why I voted for the Filet Mignon is that an online friend of mines swears that it's the best she's ever had.

I love the filet. That being said, if you like you meat cooked more than medium rare then I'd suggest something else. It really is a very thick cut (as it should be) and they'd have to butterfly it to correctly cook it beyond that. DH likes medium and his was a bit under cooked for his liking because really you can't correctly grill a steak as thick as that to medium or more without burning the outside.

I also love that risotto and I could eat mushrooms with every meal and if a steak is cooked beyond rare I won't eat it so the filet is an easy choice for me.

This...exactly. (except it was me and my DH!)

I voted for the mushroom filet, but the NY strip is almost as good! :thumbsup2 And the prime rib is awesome too!

I've never tried the veal, but have had the other three. I go to WDW several times a year and eat at Le Cellier almost every trip (sometimes twice a trip:rolleyes1). I always love the filet with mushroom risotto, was not impressed with the strip, and the prime rib is iffy. I've had it when it was very good and also when it was pretty bad. You just never can tell. My husband usually orders the prime rib and about every third time it is bad (fatty, but tough:confused3), but the times it is good, it is really good.

Ok, I'm going to be the one who crashes the party(while putting flame suit on).

I prefer the prime rib. It is good, but far from great, which IMHO describes Le'Cellier as a restaurant. For me the filet itself was good, but the mushroom sauce tasted like a can of Campbells soup was used over it while sitting on a bed of Uncle Ben's white rice.

I voted for the Filet, but I have to ask has anyone had the veal? I would love see a photo and maybe an opinion.

Kind of the same question I have, I used to get a Veal Chop from Carabas a long time ago. It was deliscious.

Early on in the day of our Le Cellier ressie, we are going to Teppan Edo. Where, most likely, I will be getting the steak and shrimp.

My DW has pretty much stated that she is going for the Filet, so I'll get to try that. I have no idea what DS10 will order - if it's a kiddie meal we're gonna pay OOP. But he does like his steak, so it'll be interesting.

We all order the Mushroom Filet and love it. It was so tender I swore I could cut it with a bread stick. Not quite, (I tried) but still tender.:rotfl2:
