Choosing between these two for our upcoming trip. It will be for dinner, so each will cost 2 credits each and we are on deluxe dining plan. We've eaten at the Yachtsmen once and loved it - great food, nice atmosphere - great service. Never eaten at Le Cellier, so I can't compare. Opinions?

We've done both and there is no question in our mind that YSH is the better restaurant.

I agree with the folks above..... YSH! The food is much much better!

LeC is so crowded and the tables are so close together it ruins dinner for me.

I really enjoy Le Cellier's filet with truffle butter, and there are some lovely items on Le Cellier's dinner menu (such as upscale poutine and a delicious salad with lobster).

That said, Yachtsman is definitely the better restaurant in terms of atmosphere, service, and the overall menu. It's one of our favorite signatures (and ironically, the steaks are probably our least favorite items on the menu).

At least at YSH you are not sitting in the laps of the diners at the next table.

Another vote for the Yachtsman. Both have good food, but the Yachtsman is much better.

I say the YM....I have LC booked and have been begging DH for months to let me cancel it and book YM but that is the one place he requested, he wants to check it out now that its a signature

I totally agree. I felt like the tables on either side of us at Le Cellier could have eaten from my plate if they wanted to. They certainly could have joined our conversation without giving it a thought.

Yachtsman is more of an experience. Le Cellier is good but you are sitting on top of the other diners. Le Cellier is good but Yachtsman is more fine dining. The service has always been good for us at Yachtsman.

Yachtsman without question. LeCellier is not, in my opinion, what it used to be. Whereas Yachtsman has appeared to up it's game. :)

Head to head it's YSH all the way---

As to what Pakey said--a shame since Le Cellier has been trying to upgrade itself, it can't have tables separated at decent intervals.

We ate at both places a few weeks ago and Yachtsman hands down was the better restaurant. Le Cellier has good food, but it was cramped and rushed. Yachtsman had better food, more room and a much nicer experience.

This isn't even a choice with us. YM. If U have eaten there like U say don't even bother with LeC now that it's 2 credits. Even when it was 1 credit I feel the YM was well worth the money. It's no diff just more money from what I heard. We haven't been back there since we started going to YM. I love it there! Awesome awesome place. Our #1 choice actually.

yup. it's the typical disney park restaurant. . .get em in, get the money, and get em out.

we eat in less and less park restaurants anymore. We went to tuto Ilaila (sp) last trip and we were shoved on a table so small that we used the table next to us cause it was empty and it wasn't just us cause the people on the other side of the table were using it with us until they sat another party at it. So at least I new it wasn't just us.

oh ya and the pizza was so greasy that it was transparent! deff never going back there. (sorry that was off subject). . .

We've been getting late lunch reservations for an early dinner and using only 1 TS credit at Le Cellier. Is YM the same way?
