Le Cellier or Rose and Crown??

Hi Folks,

I have to make a choice between Le Cellier and Rose and Crown...can you help me chose?

I would love to have outdoor seating to watch Illuminations with my sweetheart , but I know that's not always feasible (I have only achieved it once out of the 3 times we've been). I can't seem to remember if they have many outdoor seating for just 2 people. Does anyone know? I've also heard that if you are dining inside, there is an area outside they will take you to? True? If you suggest dining here, what time do you suggest making an ADR for?

Okay, then if I don't choose Rose and Crown, I would consider Le Cellier...however, I have this thing about my steaks being cooked well done (VERY LITTLE light pink to none)...will this restaurant accommodate that?

Ooh...that is a hard one as we like them both and are, in fact, going to both this year. As you said, there is no guarantee you will get an outside table to see Illuminations. Yes, there is a spot where you can watch it, and they will then let you go back to your table to finish your meal. As for LeCellier, I always order my steaks well done--I don't want any pink showing on my steak. I have had the steak there three times and every time it has been PERFECT. I would have to go with LeCellier...just because I love the cheese soup and bread and desserts more than the desserts at Rose and Crown. But you can't go wrong with either one.

I would go with Leceilar, if you can't get the Illuminations seats. If you can, then that my change things. But that aside, I think it is not even close as far as food goes.
