We currently have a res at Le Cellier, it was an absolute must for my fiancé. Well we just realized that the dish he wanted is no longer on the menu. Nothing ever really stood out to me, I just wanted to get the poutine. Should we stick it out or does anyone have another recommendation. We're kind of close so some res are harder to get. This is our honeymoon so we were looking for one "special" dinner.

We love Le Cellier, but if the menu no longer appeals to you, you may want to look for something else. That's a lot to pay for something that you aren't excited about!! If you are looking for another signature in the EPCOT area, I would suggest Monsieur Paul (in France). The food and service are excellent and it's the most elegant restaurant in EPCOT. If you are willing to go outside the park, Flying Fish at the Boardwalk is also very good. We also like bluezoo at the Dolphin, but it is not on the dining plan if you have purchased that. If you are interested in bluezoo, I would call the restaurant directly for the reservation. It is not a Disney restaurant, so you can actually call directly, make the reservation and not have to use a credit card to hold the reservation.

If you do not need to stay in the EPCOT area, consider Artist Point at WL. It's so lovely and romantic and the food and service are excellent. We also just ate at The Boathouse in DTD last week and it was outstanding.

Congratulations! I hope you have a wonderful honeymoon!

I agree, if the menu doesnt appeal to you, i'd look elsewhere. The ambiance at LC is nothing special either. The tables are sooooo close together, you could easily join in the convo at the next table! Heck, you could reach out and stroke their hair!

Have you considered Cali Grill or Citricos? Or the restaurants at the swan/dolphin?

We looked at Flying Fish but couldn't get a res. I think we're gonna stick it out. Who knows maybe the menu will change again! I really want some poutine so I could go that route if I don't see anything else.

Yachtsman. If you like LC you'll love YC. (or just go back to LC, it's still awesome).

For a "special" dinner we also recommend the restaurants at the Swan or Dolphin or the Boathouse at Disney Springs!

Le Cellier is HIGHLY overated. Our LAST meal there, my steak was cold, tough and the mushrooms I ordered came for the last two bites of steak. We will never eat there again.

We did Le Cellier twice and both times felt the cheese soup with the pretzel bread was the best. That's a sad commentary with all that they have on their menu. I got the fillet and it was ok but nothing great. We now skip that restaurant. Just my input.

My two favorite restaurants inside Epcot are both non-signatures (Via Napoli and Teppan Edo), both of which I like better than Le Cellier.

My favorite Disney operated restaurant in the area is Flying Fish, but since that's currently unavailable to you, I'll second other recommendations for Yachtsman. While I don't like it as much as Flying Fish (or the restaurants listed below), I like it a lot more than Le Cellier.

Other Disney operated signatures that we really enjoy include Jiko, Artist Point, and Citricos (we used to like Cali Grill prior to the renovation, but were somewhat disappointed with our most recent post-renovation experience).

I would dump LC and go to the Yachtsman. it is one of our favorites. If you do nto mind spreading out a bit, I thought that Narcooses was really good too. And the bonus is the Fireworks display from the porch.

We're Disney newbies. This is our first time as adults on our own.... Do you think Flying Fish or Yatchsman are easy to get too for newbies?

Yes…..just walk out the international gateway and walk over to Boardwalk or Yacht Club. Not a problem.

Thank you! We ended up grabbing a res at a Flying Fish instead! I had it confused with another restaurant and had no problem getting a reservation.

It's worth going once. We liked the ambience, soup was great, steak was ok. Super long wait when we were there even with ADRs with young kids on their birthday. Not a pretty sight.

If it has to be epcot or epcot area. I would go to Yachtsman or ...... Coral Reef. I know I said it Coral Reef. This was honestly the best meal we had last year, from service, to quality to ambiance it was great. CR gets mixed reviews but I thought it was awesome.

If it can be any other place or not on the dining plan, Shula's, bluezoo, Il Mulino. I will not recommend Flying Fish I didn't think it was that great food wise or service wise although the Manager was very nice

Too funny how different people's opinions are! My filet at LC was the best steak I've ever had in my life. I thought Flying Fish was mediocre at best! We'll definitely be going back to LC! I didn't get the cheddar soup since it was a really hot day and I just couldn't stomach hot soup.

We've enjoyed Le Cellier every trip, despite the mix of reviews.
When people see the costs or the signature usage of dining credits, they want an upscale dining experience and Le Cellier simply does not offer that.
That's not saying the food is inferior, because from what we've experienced, it's not. Our steaks have always been very good and not once have they been cooked inadequately.
The issue is the atmosphere and the restaurant itself:

1.) Loud
2.) Tight seating
3.) Ton of park clothing
4.) Ton of kids

^For the price, those are four things you don't want at an upscale restaurant. Those things come with the territory of being in the park, but yeah.

We've had no issues with the food. I'm not food critic, but the blatantly horrible reviews on the food specifically, are misplaced in our opinion.
