I have ADR's for Hoop-De-Doo, Fantasmic Hollywood & Vine, Teppanyaki, and Crystal Palace. For my last TS I am trying to decide between Le Cellier and Coral Reef. It seems more people like Le Cellier than CR, but I am afraid my DD21, who really doesn't eat meat, won't find something to her liking. Are there any good seafood or chicken dishes? Or should I just go ahead and book CR where we can all find something we like? I just want to make sure I'm not making a big mistake if we don't try Le Cellier. If anyone has advice on this - or anything else on my list - I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks!

I would defnitely go Le Cellier. Coral Reef is o.k., but no comparison to Le Cellier. Your DD could always go with the cheese soup and a fabulous dessert. A lot of people do this and you really enjoy the dessert more when your stomach isn't so full. :banana:

I've done a little more research and now have another question. What about Le Cellier for lunch instead of dinner? I know, of course, that you get more value on the Dining Plan with dinner, but it looks like there are a few more options on the lunch menu, especially for a non-meat eater. Are the lunch steaks as good as the ones on the dinner menu? Thanks again!

Lunch steaks are the same as dinner. We go to LeCellier for both lunch and dinner each time we are there and it has always been the same. IMO I would pick LeCellier hands down! Your daughter could have the cheese soup, salad and dessert and would probably be very happy. They did offer a veggie platter that was not on the menu when i was last there in August. I'm sure you will enjoy whichever you pick!

Well, it seems to be unanimous! Le Cellier it is - I just changed from Coral Reef to Le Cellier for lunch. Thanks everyone!

Coral Reef would be my choice. The food, service and atmosphere are excellent. Le Cellier, on the other hand, has had mediocre food (dry, grizzle steak), middling service, and a cramped dining room.

Well Coral Reef is running 82% thumbs up with a 7.1 average on Debs site, which is beating its UG last year's mark of 48% (whew rough crowd over there)
Le Cellier is running 98% thumbs up with a 9.2 rating. That is also beating its last years UG mark of 90%.

Hope that helps.
I'd go with Le Cellier unless I wanted to look at the fish.

I didn't really care for Le Cellier. We are trying Coral Reef this year.

I too would vote for Coral Reef, as there is no other restaurant quite like it where I live, but there are a bunch of Le Celliers (for food, as well as ambience).

::yes::

We just got back from an 8 day trip and ate at both restaurants.

The atmosphere in both were outstanding, but the service at LeCellier was unbeatable. We had a very attentive waitor who catered to our every need.

At LeCellier, the kids were encouraged to get apps and specialty drinks. At Coral Reef we paid OOP for glo-cube drinks. We did get to sit near the tank.... a polite request goes a long way. The kids liked the Tank better than the Cellar, but the wife and I liked LeCellier the best.

If I had to pick just one.....LeCellier for sure. The food was outstanding at both places. I had NY Strip steaks at both. The flavor was just a bit better in the one at Coral reef, but at LeCellier, the steak was a bit larger, better breads, and the dessert was also a step up.

The kids enjoyed desserts better at Coral Reef.... the make your own sundae and PB candy bar.

The bill at LeCellier was $174 vs $151 at Coral Reef. We were on DDP

Either way, you'll have a great time. Do politely ask for a spot near the tank windows....it makes all the difference in the world to enhance the atmosphere.
